Ah, that makes sense. Even if it affects slotting, it's worth it to know that people look forward to being able to pick up the items.

I don't know but I really truly appreciate people who make unlimited items and don't lock them up. Coming from Gaia, where you have to layout a few hundred bucks to make custom items and you have no control over who buys them (they're usually random drops in chance items) it all seems very weird to me--and I've run into situations where people say "only members of X group" can buy this item and you go and find out that "X group" has been on hiatus for two years, which is...frustrating to me, as someone who's been on the site for three months! I mean, I'd rather not pay what I paid for Gaia tickets ever again, but it does feel kind of weird restricting who can own what, provided they can pay for it!

I understand why people do private items and groups, but I can definitely share your frustration on it sometimes. -_-

I think what really gets me is when it's not possible to join a group because people are gone/the group is on hiatus/whatever--and what I don't understand is why it's set up so that private items are on the front pages of shops where people can see but not buy them. shrug If the distribution were private...
