I don't really have problems with caffeine. The most caffeine ever does to me, is make me poop.
Your weight is absolutely perfect now if I'm allowed to say so, since you have kids I assume you are a bit older than me. I am 23 now and I weigh around 53kg with a height of 163cm. I don't do any sports whatsoever I must admit and I generally am more a stay-in person... If I'd bother I'd weigh less but ya, I have some bad habits myself (esp. during summer because I have neurodermatitis and allergies, which makes me not want to go out much).
Also, yes, cutting off soda completely is a very good way to go. I myself drink none or extremely seldom because I can't handle the sweetness. I'm a big fan of tea and water.
Sometimes I do drink coffee, mostly on weekends but in my college (uni) they like to drink that there as well... so I sometimes do that xD And yes, it has a huge effect on me. I can't sleep for a few hours and some time later on, I get very sleepy and if I drink too much I feel dehydrated and I get an accelerated heartbeat. For that reason, I've reduced my coffee intake tremendously. For the most part, I drink tea instead now because it makes me feel better.

Haha!! I literally just started busting out laughing! Everyone is now looking at my like I'm crazy.
That said, My mom only drinks her "morning coffee" for that reason. To make her poop. Haha. I got her a coffee mug last year for Christmas that says "Coffee makes me poop"
Lol this just made my morning. Thank you! ;)
Oh I am very happy with my current weight at the moment. :) You are a little bit younger than me. I am 28. :) I use to play sports, I played my entire childhood. I loved playing Softball (That was my main sport) I also played Soccer. As I got older (in my 20's) and that's when I met my kids father. We played on a flag football team for years. A couple seasons I had to sit out because I was prego. But it was A LOT of fun. Other than playing sports, I am a home body too. Large crowds make me nervous and tend to make my anxiety go through the roof.. :(
I love tea. Hot tea and nice chilled sweet tea on ice. I must confess though, I hate water... Never have been a fan of it unfortunantly.. Not a fan of coffee either, unless it's iced coffee. Lol :)
Omg. That mug is awesome! Too bad I don't enjoy coffee enough.
I also like tea, hot or iced. I seem to enjoy coffee if it's iced, or in a Starbucks latte.
Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't...depends on other factors really.
Though funny story: Last year they brought back Surge (for those that don't know...super caffeine soda!) and I bought one for work. I drank it during our meeting and by the time that was over (maybe 10 minutes or so) I was wired for sound...I mean I was hearing colors and seeing sounds...it was wicked
yeah one time my friend bought me a trenta iced coffee at starbucks and i started shaking
id do it again tho
I never really noticed it having too strong an effect until after I got pregnant. The rare times I've consumed something caffeinated, I always end up being SUPER productive. Mind racing a mile a minute, getting lots of things done, probably risking preterm labor. :D
This summer I drank two coffees in a café and after that I felt like I was really drunk but also really sober and people were walking past me and I just noticed every little detail about them in about 0.0001 seconds and I kept sweating and my hands were shaking and I felt really anxious and it was HORRIBLE.
I drink unhealthy amounts of tea but somehow the caffeine in coffee affects me so much more strongly. However, sometimes I drink a few cups of coffee at home and it just makes me a little more productive. Ehh. Go figure.
Caffeine used to make me tired. When I couldn't sleep, I'd purposefully drink a cup of coffee, and an hour later I'd be conked out. I doesn't have the same effect on me now, but when I was a kid, the effects of caffeine were pretty weird on me.

In the last couple years or so, I've noticed that I can't drink any soda or anything highly caffeinated after roughly 9pm, otherwise I'm extremely restless through the night. Only a cup of hot green tea in the winter before bed is fine to me. It's weird.
I've cut back on drinking a lot of soda though. Usually only one or two a day if that.
I try my best to drink more water, so our fridge is always stocked with water bottles. I used to rely on my cup of coffee in the morning to wake up, but after almost a year of having to wait an hour before eating/drinking because of taking thyroid medication, water has been my wake up. I still go for coffee as that extra kick though, haha!
I don't drink caffeinated drinks anymore, I have an anxiety disorder and I finally reached the conclusion that it was exacerbating the situation. I still drink pop, but it has to be caffeine-free.

Caffeine affects me a lot. I wish it didn't as I do like the taste of coffee, I just hate the jittery, sicky feeling that it leaves me with. :c
ohhhh yess i cant even function w/o it. i hate that i'm THAT stereotypical of a "coffee person," but i have a coffee maker in my room?? i worked at dunkin donuts and starbucks for a while, so i think that's what hooked me??? now i'm at the point where i get HUGE headaches if i dont ingest SOMETHING with caffeine, so beware ;;;;

if i stopped drinking coffee i'm pretty sure i would literally die i drink a literal mug of espresso every day. not even a little mug. like, a big one.
I drink coffee every day, all day. I am diagnosed with ADHD by a psychiatrist and has been prescribed amphetamines, but I can no longer take them because I also have venous insufficiency and the pills worsen my condition. Caffein is a passible alternative and so I will go through at least one pot by noon. If I crash, I also have espresso crystals that I will eat right out of the jar in a pinch. I love coffee, absolutely love it in all it's forms. I make espresso in an old-fashioned Cafe Espress stovetop maker, I have an old-school stovetop steamer that can froth the everliving stuffing out of milk and make a truly dry foam for cappuccino. If I don't drink coffee, I get headaches. Coffee doesn't hype me up, it calms me down. That is the nature of ADHD...SQUIRREL!!
Oops, I need to get some coffee....
If I drink coffee now, I always try and get decaf. People heckle me sometimes, 'cause decaf is like a sin or something.
But I get decaf because I do get jitters from regular coffee and stomach aches...which leads to say a run to the bathroom. I stay away from Starbucks because I have gotten horrible painful stomach aches from their regular coffee. I drink green tea at least x2 a day during the work week with no issues.
I also was diagnosed possibly with raynaud's disease back in college. (I was running around campus in the dead of winter freezing my feet off). I am not sure if I really have it, only my feet were effected. Basically the blood flow is a bit slower in my feet and it was suggested to me to go decaf or stay away from caffeine, which was the main reason why I switched to decaf.
I feel horrible after cafe bought coffee. It's too strong. u___u; It's not even a typical caffeine rush a la palpitations. It's like everything becomes more vivid and brighter and I feel nauseous.
If I could drink coffee all day I would, but I limit myself because when I drink a butt load of coffee, I tend to clean the apartment from top to bottom and rearrange the living room, bedrooms, and anything else that isn't bolted down or too heavy for me to move.
Not anymore.
I drink between 4-6 cups of milk and sugar coffee everyday. I also really REALLY enjoy redbull,it's pretty much the only soda I drink.
I am not a healthy person.
I can literally feel the second the caffeine molecules hit my brain. Like I take a sip, let it sit on my tongue for a few seconds (caffeine gets absorbed through the membrane in your cheek/under your tongue), and I can literally pinpoint the second I feel more alert. It's so crazy.
One time, I brought 8 regular coffees to work for coworkers when I worked at a small office years ago. Only one other person I worked with wanted coffee that day, so in order not to let the rest go to waste, I drank the other 7 within the span of about 2 hours. I thought I was going to die. My heart rate was in the 140s and I literally could not make myself sit down. My boss thought he was going to have to take me to the hospital. It was brutal. The caffeine crash after it all wore off was even worse lol.
