yeah i kind of resonate with in that it's kind of sad that amber basically has to fill the DC with stuff just because of these new features. i really appreciate that staff respond so quickly to user complaints about inflation, but i just wish there were better mechanics to prevent inflation in the first place, especially those propagated by a small number of people. for example, and this kind of goes back to the start of the baking feature itself - if there were say 5-10 starter recipes (level 1) a starter kit item wouldn't have been necessary. 2 recipes is better than one definitely, but more options = less inflation. but i guess the inconvenience is now exchanged for a stable sP sink lol.

on another note, i do find it great that the scrolls task is an attempt at influencing people to read more books to their pets! though i think it might be better if there was some kind of tip for newer users on the secluded shrine page about that, so they wouldn't have to spend so much on vials and stuff haha.

edit: i edited this like 3 times to sound less stupid and i probably do but im tired LOL

I just did a secluded shrine thing, I was one item off making a scroll only to be asked for 900k for a pair of fly wings, which I needed 2 of.

Didn't have an issue with any of the other raffle stuff but the scroll components have skyrocketed in price.

I think subeta has done a great job accommodating item inflation for the summer raffle already. Any more and it's like they're giving away raffle entries for free. What's the point of entering if all the work is done for you? If all your pets see only level one scrolls, read them a couple of books. A lot are dirt cheap. The fact there's a work around for the scroll thing shouldn't even necessitate staff donating ingredients to the donation box, and that they still choose to do so, not to mention giving away baking ingredients left and right via free gift and questing, shows how accommodating they are to inevitable inflation.

I like the concept of the summer raffle, I really do. I like the "each user has x amount of things to do around the site each day" concept, it gets people online and clicking and moving around the site and probably partaking in things they've never done/didn't think they'd like. I like that.

At first glance, all of these tasks seem like solid ideas-- make scrolls, do the baking game, play games, etc. However two of those have caused instant inflation, and the latter excludes mobile users which isn't a good way to sell your product (ie: subeta).

Don't get me wrong, a lot of the tasks are solid-- training, healing, gifting, visiting things, clicking buttons. I don't even really think that the baking/scrolls were that bad of an idea really, I just wish that "lessons learned" from past events would have been remembered/brought up/dealt with BEFORE this summer raffle event went live. Because this is definitely NOT the first time something involving items + plots = hyper inflation = damage control has played out.

Like why not have planned to have Laure "call up friends to have her help keep Spells Galore fully stocked 24/7 for the duration of the raffle"? Just make it where all the normal or below items have like 4,000 stocked at all times but cost more (like add 3k to the original price)? It'd be a bit of an sP sink and would keep the prices from going insane.

Also I think this would have been an awesome opportunity to release new scrolls? Like, I dunno I'm not saying but I'm just saying, some ice and life scrolls would have been pretty awesome??

Why not have Charity running a food swap? For all the basic level one recipes (all two of them lol) once a day if you bring her 2 food items for exchange for 1 you need, she'll give you everything you need to complete a recipe? It could be a link directly in the game like "Oh dear you really are a beginner in the kitchen! Tell you what, go talk to my friend Charity and she'll get you set up with all the ingredients you need to get started" and so on so on. Yeah people could turn in stuff and keep the baking items but 1) it should only be the basic level recipes (if you want to make fancy stuff, then do it on your own dime) and 2) half that stuff's inflated anyways, even if people are buttholes and abuse the food swap within a day or two it'll all be worthless and people can afford to bake more. win/win.

Lastly I dunno, I really feel for people playing mobile and getting stuck with flash type games. I haven't been entering the raffle every day because I'm lazy and I travel a lot for work, but if did I probably still wouldn't be able to because I travel a lot for work and thus when I play subeta 90% of the time I'm on my phone. I think it'd just be nice if in the future clickable games were the only games included or if there was some kinda alternative? Like play a game of net gain OR divine discs.

Anyways. Overall I like the idea, but I wish a little pre-planning had been done involving inflation especially.

These are AMAZING ideas! In regards to spells galore- it could be set up similar to the snowtapult during winter- nothing leaves stock, but just expensive. I really wish there was a food shop equivalent to sell some of the base ingredients to the baking. I gave up on the tasks a long time ago due to inflation. Boy, wouldn't it be nice to have some type of holiday/event shop? We could have expensive stocks of baking and spells, and not have to recode anything else! Wooo....

I do agree that staff should've considered the hyper-inflation beforehand. That being said, I'm actually having a great time in the raffle.

I think the variety of tasks is great- very large, so I keep seeing new things each day. Personally, I'm willing to drop a mil on a baking kit at the MC every time the stupid baking comes up, but then again, I know most aren't the same on this. Haven't had to make a scroll or zap a pet.

I do wish, if this is done again in the future, that tasks can be completed retroactively. So for those who visited the bathhouse first, without thinking, and then couldn't complete the raffle that day- just have the raffle look and see that it's been done. Basically for anything that's a once per day type of thing. Not sure if the coding would be happy, but it would make it a bit more fun.

All of this, so hard. Especially the stuff about keeping shops stocked - I support a nice sP sink more than enabling greedy users to rip off people for an event.
