So I logged onto my account tonight and saw that I had an official warning for having multiple accounts. This is the only account I have. My husband signed up last night and his account is now frozen. I don't understand why his account is frozen and my account has been warned when we didn't do anything wrong - except share a computer! I have better things to do with my time than try to run multiple accounts. Also, it should be noted that we have our own emails (and we signed up with our own) and I did not send him anything from my account, either.
I sent an email through the contact us explaining this situation and asking to have my warning removed. Is there any chance that my husband's account will be unfrozen so that he has a chance to play and even see if he likes the game?? If not, I will just give away everything on my account and quit.
File a ticket explaining your situation to the staff. You'll get a faster response than through the contact link on the bottom of the page.
For future reference, you're required to inform staff via ticket if anyone in your household also holds or creates a subeta account.
I'm not really sure what they go by on judging whether or not an account is multi or family/roommate/ect. You could try submitting a ticket via the link below explaining the situation. Not sure if it would be faster than emailing, but doesn't hurt to try. Good luck, I hope you're able to get his account unfrozen!
I believe it's against the rules to discuss warnings, and it's definitely against the rules to discuss frozen accounts, so you may want to edit your post.
But there's nothing users in Help and Questions can do for you unfortunately, contacting staff is the only thing you can do but for future reference if you live with someone who creates an account, you both need to file a ticket right away to let staff know. I hope you get things figured out
As Long as you explained your situation then you should be good. Just know the next time to notify them when someone in your household is making an account along with putting it in your profile. "My Husband also has an account, [user=]" Have him do the same but with Wife of course.
That is actually not correct information. :/
Thanks for that, i didn't know. Then again I haven't had a 2nd account in my house since i first started.
& - Thank you. I filled out a ticket. We will see what happens.
- Thanks but I'm not going to edit my post. I needed to discuss it to explain my situation and get help. If talking about it the situation get help is really that upsetting to the staff, then they can handle it as they see fit. Life will go on for me lol.
As of right now, I'm going to stop playing until I find out what their decision is. Thanks for helping everyone!
I think you should edit it or you might get frozen too. :(
You already got the help you wanted, so... You should avoid trouble.
If you already filed the ticket, so you should be fine, but you're really not supposed to post about warnings or being frozen on site. n.n' You should be okay as long as you don't specify your husband's account name, but I'd be careful. If you've only sent an email to the contact one from the Rules page, then you need to file a ticket. You will get a faster response and that's how you're supposed to report issues like these.
Here's what the site rules say about shared computers:
And there is a rule that specifically says "No Discussing Frozen Users - Do not discuss or mention frozen users." so I'd advise editing this thread and asking a staff member to close it for you so you don't get frozen.
-- This is the type of situation that should be handled via ticket rather than the forums, especially since it is skirting VERY close to the rules. I'm going to lock this up -- thank you to everyone who suggested the user submits a ticket!
