omg guys I had the freakiest dream, what I feel like a ghost encounter, last night ;O;
Idk what time it was but likely middle of the night when I saw in my dreams (note I wasn't dreaming prior to this, I was just suddenly jolted into dream awareness if that makes sense) the window in the room and the sideways profile of a shadow figure moving from left to right outside the window (I'm on the second story t__t so basically it was in the air and I saw maybe a tad past the shoulders)
then around a split second later a really intense white flash of light shone and covered my entire visual field while at the same I felt intense heat (think like a spotlight shining on you but you can't tell the source, it felt like if it lasted any longer I would burn), I might have heard some muffled sounds as well but idk I was too terrified to move
after a few seconds the light and heat relented and I quickly opened my eyes (I was dreaming! but this felt so real) to find that I was facing the wall and had my back to the window
I find this extra creepy because today is All Soul's Day and in my culture today's the day to celebrate the departed T__T
no one died recently that I know of and I didn't have a feeling it was anyone long dead either and I haven't watched a supernatural horror in ages because I'm a chicken so there really was no reason for this to happen out of the blue; yesterday was totally uneventful D: I've had weird dreams but nothing on this scale.
because I know you like this stuff and omg I need a hug probably D: /flails around
I've got a couple I could share :) I love ghost stories!
The first is a personal and pretty recent experience. I'm still not sure what to make of it or even of what I saw because it made no logical sense. About two years ago, I was in my final semester of college and completely sleep deprived. And if I had been the only one to have witnessed it, I would have believed I had imagined it because I was so tired at the time. But as it was, I was sitting with two friends from my program on a bench in a hallway. It was approximately 10am and we were enjoying a fifteen minute break from our morning class. We said hello to one of our favorite teachers who was passing by. A bit of backstory about this man. He was an amazing teacher with a rare kind of charisma. This guy loved to teach and it showed. Sadly, he had a lot of physical health issues that made his quality of life outside of his job nearly unbearable. Anyways, that morning, we saw him, said hello, and watched him go up a staircase to the second floor of our pavilion. The next day though, we hear that the teacher in question had (very unfortunately, I'm still so shocked and torn up about this) committed suicide the day before. His wife found him in his home at approximately 10am. So you can see how impossible it would have been for us to have seen him walking around the school at the time! Yet we all remember seeing him, possibly taking one final tour of the campus. I was a bit comforted by that :) but also get goosebumps every time I think about it.
My second one is local to my hometown. It takes place in a hostel that was originally a nineteenth century jail. It is known as one of the most haunted places in this town and I heard the story from the establishment during a Halloween ghost tour years ago. True or not, I still think it was the creepiest story they told that night. About twenty years ago, the caretaker of the place was a known skeptic and staff would have fun trying to play pranks on him. The guy had his own room in the place and they liked to try to sneak up on him while he slept at night. The caretaker, tired of being woken up by their antics, took the habit of locking his bedroom door before going to sleep. One night, he opens his eyes to see a man standing right over next to him, just staring blankly. Still half asleep and annoyed, the caretaker furiously gets out of bed and shouts "how did you get in here?!". He goes to check the door - it's still locked. The poor caretaker turns around just in time to see the mysterious man walk right through the wall next to his bed. Not sure if he was still a skeptic after that lol
