Is there a limit to the number of times you can win the Spotlight? One of my friends says she had heard there was a limit of 50. Is that the case? And if it is, does that mean the first 50 you ever won or 50 in total, so you can adopt out some of your past winners to work on new pets?

Hello! I really hope this post is not redundant but i was wondering the same thing as the user who posted above me. One of pets, Merope, was nominated for the pet spotlight a good two years ago now i think, and other pets of mine, which were nominated later have since won the spotlight. Nevertheless, Merope was never rejected from the spotlight. Therefore i was wondering if there is a particular reason to the nominated pet being neither rejected nor nominated and if there is a maximum time a nominated pet can stay in the queue.

The problem is that once the pet is judged, I have no control over when the pet wins. So I could have judged it one year ago or longer but it could be at the "top of the list" and it is still random who it picks.

Hey there! My both pets were denied for the following reasons: • Coding errors • Poor image quality • Information missing • Aesthetics - image placement • Aesthetics - layout/placement

Which left me a little confused. I tried to reach out to people in the forums and the SB, yet I don't really know what to change. I wanted to make sure that for Ventuswill, the pet image is clickable. With Ferdinante, you can scroll through the page and click everything that moves. I'd love to know what information is missing, since I thought everything mandatory was there. Also, I am quite riddled by the coding errors since I am not sure how such would look like. I do, however, understand if it might have not worked out on some screens. I'd appreciate any feedback and thank you for your time! ^^

Ventuswill: I don't know about the coding errors. I had trouble navigating the profile, but I do with any like these, so that is probably just me. But, the poor image quality is the noktoa. I like the animation, but the image itself is blurry, and so is the background. I think the info missing is that it's important to have a separation and label for Credits. You should list everything; the coding, story, background, any and all art, any special effect, the name art. All of it. This is an example. You don't have to have it like this, but the info - yes. Hey, thanks. I do have to ask you if you actually clicked on the pet? That's supposed to make it sharp! I actually just used the image from subeta and only blended it with the background which I don't want to be sharp at all. Thanks for the list. I actually just added one line at the end of the text which is obviously not enough as I see. Seems kinda silly to just put my name on each line lol.

And if you don't mind asking, how exactly do you have issues navigating such sites? Is it the scroll snapping? The clicking? I am really curious because on the thread you posted people had a similar issue which I have trouble understanding. ^^

I'm really not sure why I have so much trouble, and others don't, but I can click all over and not find anything or just one thing. I never can really navigate those, so sometimes I get frustrated and don't try. I admire the expertise and the effort I know it took to make them, but I usually don't like them because of my own problems. Other people have suggested putting buttons or something that says 'hover' or whatever too, and that helps me a lot. Then at least I know where to click.

The credits must be absolutely clear. You don't have to list each thing if you did it all. I suppose you can say 'Profile, coding, animation, and all graphics made by Lyonid except the overlay and minion'. Idk. But they are very strict and should be. You must list each source if they are different, and not leave anything up to assumption.

As far as you wanting the bird and background and the purple blobs to be blurry, you might have to go a different route or accept that it won't win the spotlight. I have been dinged for that and a whole lot more through the years. The 'aesthetics' are the judges' opinions, but it does seem a bit unbalanced to me. Again, that is my opinion. :) I would talk to . She is an expert at coding and making profiles, esp the moving ones that you have to navigate. I'm sure she could help you much more than I can, and will notice what needs to be adjusted that I don't see. :)
