I would probably want some kind of respirator for dealing with potentially toxic atmospheres. I would want to take at least one last coffee, and preferably some nice grounds, just in case the place I wind up doesn't have any. I would want a useful tool, in case I have to get out of a few scrapes. Finally, I'd need something to read! This clothing item would let me sneak an entire library along with me, so I wouldn't get bored!

hmm if i were to be abducted, i think these might help: to blend in with the natives. because maybe alien food sucks. gotta keep hydrated! to make it look like i know what i'm doing in space. maybe their navigator died from a mysterious illness and they need a replacement. gotta make yourself indispensable, right? to call for the next item. to get me the heck outta there, with an adventure or two on the way back. for all of the running i'm gonna do on said adventures.

So I can fling them at enemies, ride on them for a quick escape, or use them as a shield...when necessary :P
