I really hate horror stuff but if we have a nice portion of black humor and actors I like, I will give movies a chance. (I do like zombies etc though... :'D )

"Sleepy Hollow" is always nice, "Sweeney Todd" as well (I like Johnny Depp x Tim Burton LOL). For more splattery "Hansel and Gretel - Witch Hunters" is really nice, loved the humor here. Would "300" count as well? 😂

A good creepy show to watch would be American Horror Story. I don't like scary things for the most part but this has just the right amount of creepy and spooky and interesting lol. It is quite a plot twist every time and great acting!

I watch Supernatural, The Walking Dead, oh and Stranger Things on Netflix. They aren't super scary, I am not a fan of horror, but these I can handle.

I watched Paranormal Activity recently and liked it a lot! It's the perfect movie to get spooked, realistic (as much as a horror film can get) and very well-made.

How about Skeleton Key (2005). It isn't gory and is more tense and psychological.

I'm pretty sure someone's suggested Stranger Things at this point...

I feel like it's spooky enough to call it spooky, but not entirely so that you can't watch it alone (in case you're lighthearted like me xD). It's more of a thriller than horror I would say. c:

Granted, I did watch it together with my sister and boyfriend, so that might've helped!

One of the scarier movies I've seen recently is It Follows. The Babadook was also really creepy.

Well, of course I feel like I just HAVE to mention The Walking Dead, even though I'm sure it's probably already been suggested. =P It's so much more than "just a zombie show". There are characters you'll grow to love, love to hate, cry for, etc. If you haven't experienced it yet, strap in 'cause it's a bumpy ride!

As for movies, I'm going way back, but Nightmare on Elm Street has always been one of my fave slasher series! Just don't fall asleep while watching~ [1...2...Freddy's coming for you...]

I'm not much for scary... I get nightmares from zombie movies. When I was little my teenage siblings would make me watch the thriller video on halloween and it always scared the crap outta me!! I still occasionally have recurring dreams of zombies breaking through the walls in my room. LOL As a grown ass woman, a pretend bad guy gives me nightmares. v_v the shame. So yeah, not a ton of experience with scary stuff. My best bud in high school was a huge horror buff though and was always trying to get me to watch scary things. I think the last one she wrangled me into was The Exorcist .... I baked bread before hand and we sat there clinging to/eating full loaves of bread. So that's my recommendation. It's. Scary. D:
