Question 2. Does the no magic rule encompass empathetic energy readings and telepathy?

I really really extremely want:An I'm too clumsy to try anything like that! XD
Alright! TTFN!
: Thanks! Vernon's other skill is falling into large bodies of water, but his mommy is trying to discourage developing it further as it would compete with her use of that skill.
: Yes, Vernon is very real. Somewhere I have a photo of him right after he was pulled from the pool and he looked absolutely pitiable. My author's mate took Vernon inside, wrapped him up in a towel and snuggled him for a couple of hours until he started moving about, then returned him to the garden. Within a few moments, his mommy appeared and carried him off, safe and dry and warm.
Vernon may make an appearance in this chapter as a temporary companion for one of our party who hasn't one.
aw, poor baby. i hear a lot of squirrels and wildlife drown in pools cos they don't always get covered. I'm glad he had a happy ending. it's such a touching story! i'm so happy momma possum was reunited with him <3
:

Fit in your palm small. Fur so soft, an amazing animal is the possum. Immune from rabies, eats rats, snails, fallen fruit and is nomadic ( won't make a permanent nest in your home ) and rather docile if not threatened. Loves dog food. There are a lot of possums within the city limits. This particular clan of possum love to eat the grapes my author attempts to grow along the fence in his back yard. Small price to pay to keep the yard free of snails and rats.
OK. It's settled, Vernon is going to help our RP. He has an important job to do.
thanks for sharing! (and good luck with the rp!)
Okay here are my clarification requests:
When you say "Morrow is down a hole at the back of a cave. Magic doesn't work here, and there are many sharp rocks along the way"
I get a picture where the hole has sharp walled edges all the way down, and that possibly getting from the cave entrance where Junu and Klytie are, to the back where the hole is, may also be a treacherous path of sharp rocks. Is that close to right?
listens for the answer to 's question about telepathy
And also, where are we getting Murrow to? Are we RPing him up out of the hole and that's good enough, flop him on the ground and he starts talking? Or are we getting him back (assuming the terrain inside the cave between the hole and the entrance is rough) across the sharp rocks to Junu and Klytie? Or are we getting him out of the cave altogether and possibly to a hiding place or back down to the inn (though I'm guessing that's unlikely)?
I'm sorry for the extra ping and questions, thank you. ^_^
Is the temporary companion going to like being placed where I think he will be placed? ;)
Okay, some clarification is needed on the Companion Challenge, so here goes:
Somethings were deliberately not structured (Like smooth or rough cave) to give you all more freedom in role-play. Many of the complaints I received about an earlier chapter stemmed from the fact that Junu froze everyone except the Bards. They were basically along the lines of: "How can he do that, it ruins the RP!" or "But we NEEDED to be able to move!"
So this one is less structured, since you have a wide variety of companions and your strategies will be varied. You may have either a smooth or rough cave leading to the hole, or anything in between. You just have to get Morrow out of the hole.
Now, about the telepathy thing, meaning that a human character (or whatever species you are) can direct the companion makes it a combo challenge. The companions are on their own for this one. You can instruct them before hand, but after that, no. Of course, they may work together as a team, and something like a shape-shifting ability that is an integral part of their being is not really magic.
Basically, is you can't godplay, they can't either. Some of you have created companions more powerful than Dany's dragons, but that might not make for the best or most creative RP.
What's Morrow like? He is the reformed goblin from WS1 who is now a staple at the Wayward Squirrel. He is very proud of his neat personal appearance since his conversion and he looks quite dapper, since he is very tall for a goblin at 3'3". He's neither thin nor fat; he's just there. He will cooperate in his rescue as much as he can. Feel free to write that portion of him.
I hope this helps.
PS Kadiith had an absolutely adorable little one, and they are both doing well! I have a picture if she'll let me post it. So cute!!
Gracias ma dear ^_^ <3 Good to know Mutt won't revert to a locket and fall to the ground LOL For me the telepathy isn't so much for me to direct him, but that's the way he communicates, and only with empty headed or receptive types. Definitely not a god-mode type deal there so unless I'm misunderstanding I'll take from your post that that's fair play.
I really appreciate the idea of the loose reins, as it gives us a chance to fully run away with our imaginations and not worry about going against any pertinent info. Then again, I didn't mind the restraints of the Bard RP either, not that I helped with that one much... but I'm all about go-with-the-flow! C:
And :O YAY BABY! :D
: More to tell on Subeta Lodge, but basically, Vernon will demonstrate his considerable talent for performing his one skill.
Thank you very much for the clarifications, Rowan! :D
A super big Congratulations, !!! :D hugs
My companion communicates with the other companions via telepathy; so I'm going to assume(like others) that this is ok based on your clarification. :-)

I really really extremely want:Congratulations Kaiidth on the baby!
I'm excited to see how he will fit in :)
Congratulations Kaiidth on your new bundle of joy!
I was wondering if we're also allowed to use the companion from our Link for this RP besides the other companions? Just want to make sure before we start writing.
Congratulations!
Thanks for the info and congrats to Kaidith!

Mazel tov!
Thank you for the clarification. It's nice to know I don't have to restrict Sihr if I don't want to (but I want to <3). And that means that Aery's Silme won't have trouble down there, since I think she was created or animated or /something/ with some sort of magic. I also gather that, since he's running out of air, he's mostly buried, or otherwise cut off?
Sihr, Jean's faeling, communicates by short-range telepathy too. And I've always called it magic -- same with her flight, since she doesn't have wings. I think playing her without either -- as I intend -- will be fun! ...She's glaring at me now. As are several other characters. They don't appreciate it when I'm mean to help them grow. Ungrateful creatures. ^.^;;
The way some people spell makes me wonder about their pronunciation. My CW shop, and my ping group
