He's like lmao at results, I quit kthxbai. Well, not really, but the whole people resigning after legislation doesn't go their way looks petty af. I wouldn't be surprised if he wants to do that. The EU is probably wanting it triggered now. Messy divorce. /inserts Adele's hello from the other side voice here

True, but he might not want to deal with the fall-out from triggering it too. It was a mistake of his own making, but at the same time I get the impression that's he going to leave all the fallout from the Brexit vote to his next successor, serve however many remaining months he has left and just leave.

The negotiations for Brexit are going to take a couple months anyway even, if he starts the process to trigger Article 50 while he's still in office.

I am saddened and disappointed at my country right now, because of this. Nobody wants to bring in Article 50 so everyone is leaving; first the PM, then all those people that were vying for the position (Boris comes to mind, Farage too)...

I'm so saddened by the racism and the xeno/homophobia I've witnessed since the vote came in... I am deeply frustrated, too, because nobody understands what is going on. The people who voted Leave didn't have a clue, they were just fed lies that they wanted to hear (immigration, NHS)... And now they want to 'take their vote back' because they realise that they've very much made a mistake.

Too late now... muppets.

The one issue I have, though, is that this is very much a 50/50 split, and I fear for civil war. Already London have called for independence, as have Scotland and possibly NI. The Republic of Ireland are already in the EU and have no plans to change. Cornwall want 'protection' that cannot be offered to them, as they are one of the towns that benefit the most from the EU money that gets paid to them to keep them afloat.

Farming is going to change. We won't get 'nice' import and trade deals, and anyone who thinks that is a fool. We'll have to rely on our farming industry, and... Well even that was paid for by the EU. And what couldn't be grown here, could be grown elsewhere and shipped in at a relatively low cost. People might not have liked that, but it means that they have access to fruit and vegetables all year round. I, for one, do not want to go back to 'seasonal only' and 'queing up for bread' as some people have wanted to. I'm too busy for that shit. I just want to get my stuff and fuck off-- not hang around waiting for some bread that I might not even get. How people are spinning that as a good thing is TOTALLY beyond me.

It's so sad. I hope that we don't leave. I hope that whoever takes power will flip this over and say that the result was invalid, given all the people have left parliament now that were all about the vote in the first place.

We look like a stupid country though, divided and not united... :(

I live in Northern Ireland XD! We're still getting dual nationality with Ireland and that's the only thing confirmed! Our politicians are hoping for a united Ireland referendum but Ireland don't want us so ATM our politicians are saying nothing and seeing how this Brexit plays out XD
