Here are the judges' scores in critiques for the RP portion of Chapter 2. I was so glad to see everyone hitting the 300 mark or above. I know it will get tougher, but you all are always good, and I really hope no one ends up with anything below 300. I got my wish this time.

If you ended up with 400 or the full 500, pat yourselves on the back! That was no easy task! Our judges are tough!!

Quote
300

Organized ChaosA lot of well-done narrative here, but unfortunately, too little actually related to Ellak City. We appreciated the foreshadowing for following events, but we needed more with the task at hand.

Diamonds in the Rough This was another one with charming characters, and really great prose, but too little in Ellak City. The insights into each character&;s thinking were very good, and we would love to see more.

Catnip Thieves Very intriguing introductions to the team&;s members, but nothing fleshed out. This was a case where less was clearly not more.

The Chemeriad This was the flip side of the team above&;s coin. Once again, very entertaining characters brought to life well with descriptions and actions, but much too disjointed. Cutting and smoothing would have gone a long way.

Mischievous Misfits This team appears not to have a good idea of where they were or where they were supposed to be, so everywhere got a bit muddled. The characters were fun, and some humor worked well, but overall, it just didn&;t gel.

Roguish Companions Great use of dialog, and good confict between the comanions, but not enough of the city. Ellak is pretty boring if this is our picture.

Reaver This was another offering where the characters were lovely, but the narrative was a series of disjointed pieces and parts. There was also little in Ellak City.

Farseeing Fables Charming beginning, and did the team did devote itself to being focused in Ellak, but much, much too short to do the job well.

400

Couple of Disasters Fabulous idea and narrative, packed with compelling characters. We just needed a bit more of them to really appreciate easch ragtag member.

Travelers The backstory memories added a lot to involving us with this team, and the images evoked were very vivid. We can see the horse and cart, and feel their frustration with the map. We needed to have an overall unity of flow though, instead of a sense of pieces tacked together.

Nightowls There was too little of Ellak in this one, also, but the meeting and forming of the oddly matched team was very well done, and knitted the pieces together. So we&;re pushing it up into this category.

Dazed Denizens of Crazy Chopped Delusional Jalapeno-ville Obviously, these mates are starting the HitchHikers Guide to Ellak City or I&;m a Clockwork Orange, but the humor isn&;t quite together enough to pull us along. Laughs abound, but need substance behind them.

500

Han Solo (Great depiction of the classic adventure tough guy, yet told with a lot of humor. Whether we were laughing or groaning, we thought it was great. This team of one is well named; he or she would also make a good Jack of Shadows!)

Wayfarers Blending of pieces and parts into a whole by the overall narrator was very well done, and the adventure in Ellak absolutely fit the setting. We&;re looking forward to seeing more of all of them, and watching Lyra buff up!

Fallen Angels

This team wasted no time pulling us into the action and setting up the adventure in just the sort of city Ellak is!
We want to know more about each of them. Great job!

PS

All the puzzles were correct, so I'll update the scores with fulls for all.

It is. They got really tired of the whining and complaints over bonus points last round, so they're breaking it down into categories.

Ah, good to know. Yeah, bonus points always confused me. It seemed to be that you had to hit just right -- and that's fine, but it makes it hard to shoot for them with any accuracy. This should make things both easier and harder. I look forward to seeing how it works! ^.^

To you as well! If you're doing everything on your own, that's very impressive. tosses you a muffin

Awesome Sauce! Read our review!!!! Hugs all around!

are the scores on the first page completely up to date? and a note on the side here: Kinda liked how y'all did scoring last year where you broke down the points by chapters and told us what we scored for the puzzle and the challenge individually. But if it's too much work don't put yourself out hon. I know you are swamped with trying to keep all of us ''squirrely'' characters on the right track!

You said you wanted blueberry! /I/ brought the muffins. I decided to share. But you don't get the one I gave you and the one I want to keep for me too! =P

I agree with Atrue, as I am slightly confused. Perhaps just keep a single list of the total possible for each chapter, and let the teams worry about where their scores are, to keep it simple? I know it was out of 500 for the second chapter, but that means it was out of 1700 for the first, (or 1600 with a 100 point bonus) and I'm rather surprised at that. O.o
