I wasn't around for bird watching (joined in February) but I really like the bug catching, and the bugs themselves are gorgeous.

I was wondering if anyone knew if bird watching would return---I want the birds for a pet TC, but if I can just wait and not buy them, I'll do that! (Basically should I bother spending the sP on them?)

It is a seasonal thing so yes it will return.

Oh, lovely! I always assumed it was a spring thing but now that I'm thinking about it...is it a fall or summer thing? Since people were doing it right before winter!

I want to think that it started in the spring last year, but then closed during the winter because of the snowman event making Peka Park be too cold. And then it didn't get brought back before the bug hunting thing for some reason, so I guess that was confusing. It may be that staff were still trying to figure out exactly what they wanted to do, so it didn't turn out exactly right? But I'm not 100% sure. It should get brought back sometime in the future though, so just check back during different seasons. I think the current bug hunting thing is supposed to last through August maybe.

Ah, thanks for finding that! They still may have started it then before deciding they wanted to do something different each season. Bird watching makes sense for the spring, and bugs for the summer. I think I've seen some people suggest mushrooms/fungus for the fall.

Some new birds would be nice to get people to do it again. I think there were only 8 the first time? Whereas the bugs got 30 different ones.

Ah yes, I see that now. Still seems like there were less than the bugs though, so having some new ones would be nice.
