Of course, he's been added to the list!

MayMay (https://subeta.net/petinfo.php?petid=3668038) is a memorial pet for my passed ferret if you would like to add her to the list. This is such a nice idea.

hi there. ♥ i'd like to add my dachshund, cuddles, to your lovely list that i'm so happy exists. thank you. :)

Of course I'll add Cuddles to the list! <3

I have my pet Freyah, She is still around a kicking though!
I'd like to add Aelf (horse) and Najy (dog) to the list...sadly Najy now memorializes her whole family.
Every lost kitty has hurt but these two ... just about killed me. I had these lovelies for many years.
Pumpkin had stopped responding to medication for her hyperactive thyroid, had to wait but finally got her surgery to treat... a few weeks later she had, we think, a fatal arrhythmia. Worse, she had not been living with us for a few months at that point while we were in process of house buying. Our cat sitter called us, we rushed to vet... I think she waited for me because it was hours after the call when I got there. She passed minutes after I arrived. :( 4 days before Christmas 2010 and it still hurts.
Shadow lived about 5.5 years after she was diagnosed with feline aids. It was a long slow decline and we finally made the decision to put her to sleep. It is the only time I have had to make that decision and I hope I never have to again. It would not have been right to have done it sooner, and I don't think it would have been right to have done it any later. They told us that she probably would have been another 2 or 3 weeks to pass naturally and it was clear she was beginning to suffer. Kidneys failing, thirsty but drinking not bringing relief... she sat by the water dish and cried the last 2 days. And then, she began to bleed from the mouth - ulcers. She was never big but where she had been an 8 pound cat slipped to under 6 pounds near the end. And dropped to 4 pounds her last week. I even learned to give her IV fluids myself at home. I know it helped her feel better but she did not like the needle and I did not like to do it to her. :'( I can't believe it has been over 4 years and I still cry.
whoops didn't mean to write a novel. Clearly I haven't talked about it enough irl... </3
I will gladly add Freyah to the list! <3
Both will be added! <3
It's perfectly fine for you to discuss your pets, that's part of why we're here. I know talking about my own helps me find some sort of peace with grief. I will gladly add both of your kitties to the list! <3

I have one ❤ The anniversary is coming soon and wah
Thank you for the lovely history !
I am so sorry for such a delay, Picasso has been added to the list! <3

lots of pets have been added to the OP since this group was started. If anyone is interested in adding pet friends and wanted to take a moment to connect other memorial pets to your own pet's friends lists.
Like the first post says we're also accepting tribute pets that are still with us, so feel free to post those as well - they will be italicized in the list. Please only post your pet(s) if you want anyone to freely add them as pet friends on their own memorial pets!
Ping (not me, since I don't have access to the list) in order to have your pet added or updated.
And - especially if you don't have a story on your pet's page yet - you are welcome to share your pets story, discuss, and reminisce.
I have King Merlin and Smoodles, both of my kitties who are still around!
I've added both of your memorial babies to the list!

On May 10th, 2010, my best friend of 15 years crossed over the rainbow bridge...and I just had to wait several minutes after typing that for the tears and tremors to pass. As a pixie bob, like a manx, she was more at risk for spinal injuries due to the nub tail. Her little nub would twitch when she was happy. She slipped climbing on some stuff and it took a few weeks to realize that all was not well. She had paralyzed some of the nerves around her rear and was unable to take care of her needs properly. By the time we got her into the vet, she was too far. We could have risked surgery...for a few more weeks together, but I knew it was my heartbreaking task to make that final choice. She went to join her brother who had been killed 8 years earlier by poison left out by a neighbor. She practically raised me (you know...except for my mom who was actually a pretty awesome mom) and slept with me every night I was home. She never felt like "my baby" because I was practically a baby when I got her. She was always my closest friend who always knew when I was upset.
When I created Mittie, I asked Subeta if there was a way to "memorialize" a pet. I just wanted to be able to come back and see her here. The best they could offer was telling me about the resort. I STILL think, now more than ever actually, that there should be a way to memorialize a pet. You wouldn't be able to play with them or use them in battle or anything...they would just always be here, full and healthy and happy.
I've started the very beginnings of figuring out custom pet layout things and I'm hoping to make one for her to really show what an amazing little friend she was. I'm working on her treasures, now that I understand them better. The Rainbow Vortex seemed appropriate (and I couldn't afford the "Rainbow Vortex" item instead. The computer mouse is because she used to watch me play computer games and lay down on my mouse hand. The angelic fruit...well I'd like to replace this with something, just not quite sure what yet.
My current little kitty, Keeny, is going on year 5 of having a hyperactive thyroid. I was away in England and my mom was taking care of her when she started acting "crazy" (wanting to eat everything, losing weight, and needing to run all the time). I'm so grateful that my mom recognized something was wrong quickly and got her into the vet. She's on meds twice a day and recently tipped the scales at OVER 6.5lbs! I'm hyper aware of any behavioral changes in her. She's a good but challenging first furbaby for my husband. It's really helping him understand in BIG WAYS that furbabies depend on us. He'd never had a pet before her and never thought he'd be as smitten with a kitten (a 16 year old kitten) as he is.
My Velvet just got diagnosed. She was losing weight slow at first so I didn't go in because hey she is 16. But then she dropped a crazy amount suddenly, maybe half a pound in a week, so freaked the heck out, man I wish I had not waited. cry she has been on medication for a week now and though still waay to skinny she is coming back around. Usually an 8.5 pounder she was 5.5 suddenly, terrifying. I hope she hits 6.5 pounds when we follow up in 3 more weeks. :)
My sweet baby better be fine because I adopted her at 3 months. My first MY CAT when I was 18.
We do love our furbabies. <3
