You could also try a pound transfer if the two of you can sync well enough and are willing to risk it. Also, I'm not sure if this will work, but you might can drop the pet into the pound and immediately readopt them and maybe that will make the transfer timer go away? I'm actually not certain on that one. People don't usually manage to grab a pet so quickly so most of the time I am able to drop something and then pick it right back up.
But again, I don't know if doing that will turn the wait off, but you can at least transfer using the pound, again, if you feel like risking it, but in my experience it's not too difficult as long as you guys talk about when you do the drop in private via a smail so you don't have to worry about anyone sniping you.
