haha the other day my Nana gave us this HUGE golf umbrella with the statement "it never folds in the wind" and we we're like Sweet cause it was pretty windy outside and we managed to get to the top of the street before I got an inside out umbrella in my face XD! I was like yeh thanks Nana XD!

- I think I'd rather get a snail like yours! I could play with it and tell it how much I love it and freak Peach out with it ^.^. That's so cheap for a snail, too! It's actually 5:48 AM right now. I'm getting the feeling there is no such thing as an umbrella that does not fold in the wind ._. I have owned several umbrellas in my life that claimed to withstand winds, but none of them held up to their promise. Maybe that's a good thing though. I mean, imagine what would happen if there was an umbrella that didn't fold. A strong wind would probably rip it out of your hand and carry it god knows where. There is actually an old German story about a boy named Robert, who goes out during a storm despite the fact that his mother told him not to. He just said 'I'll take an umbrella, so I'll be fine.' The story ends with him beign carried off by the wind due to his umbrella, and how he was carries off so far Mary-Poppins-style that he never found home again. I think I would like to try my hands on decorating cookies like the Baby Bottle Sugar Cookie, but I think I'll start with that after I have completed my quest of the lemon rosemary cake ^^

Hello! Welcome to the thread. I do bake, I was a professional baker for a few years out of a shop then my own home. Also I agree in just staying home lol.

& How did I miss a conversation about slim jims and sea creatures? I feel so lost. And you don't like smore frapps lol ok I will remember that. I ususally get coffee, since I know you can't do coffee they have green tea frapps they are rather good. They taste like Jordan Almonds the candy.

I love baking. It is something that soothes me. If that is the same for you NEVER go into business for it. It sucks the love right out of it lol. Depends on your tastes. I have been doing a lot of different frostings to basic sponges. Like a cannoli cake. I have a really good lemon blueberry sponge. What I want to try is some veggie muffins. I have grabbed a few recipes with carrot, squash and apple muffins. What kind of baking do you enjoy? Sweets, savories, both?

I never seriously considered making it my job. Mainly because I feel that, as a job, I would not be able to put as much effort and love into it as I'd like. I could see the job getting either tidious or too much for me very fast. Seriously, I have high respect for anyone who can work in a job that puts such a strain on you. I mostly bake sweet cakes at the moment, because I find it hard to get the amount of salt just right that is needed for savory ones. So if you have some recipe for something savory that's good for a novice, that would be much appreciated ^^ But I'm interested in any good recommendations you might have =3

In a bakery is like being in any kitchen. High stress and you have to be able to mutli task and put in the hours. I love high pressure jobs I excel in them. But my health isn't well so I had to stop. I am working on making myself better so that hopefully one day I can do it again. I will never again have my company though. I would rather be the best I can be for someone else lol. Way to much compition out there. If you give me a bit I can come up with a few. The best for a novice is bread. It sounds silly but its true. Biscuits and just plain old white/potato bread are the easiest. Now its not a package thing though. You will need to let them rise and rest etc but there isnt a whole lot going on in them. Soda bread ( Yea love me, I can make soda bread) is also another easy one. I don't know if you are American but some of us here in the US don't care for it as we are used to spongey white breads and its denser but if you don't mind a crusty dense bread its pretty good. Lol Just so you know, I talk... a lot. And if you get me started on something I don't shut up. So just let me know if I am to much.

I'm sorry to hear that =( I hope you're doing better soon. I'm German, so my favorite bread is sourdough, pretty much by default xD But I think I'll start with something easier. I'm pretty good at making yeast dough, but up until now I've only made sweet ones. Do you have some savory yeast-based recipes? You're not too much, but it's already past midnight here, so I'll have to go to bed soon ^^' So we might have to continue this conversation tomorrow =3

- It does sound really good right now. I've been craving sweet stuff today, and all I bought yesterday was a bunch of salty stuff lol. I hadn't thought that green tea would help stomachs, but that sounds great. I'm always having ginger ale to fix mine lately.

I used to drink gingerale all the time then it ended up hurting my acid reflux from all the citrus stuff in it. So I switched to green tea. I also just got my fair ears Noc. The lady that sold them to me was very nice I was not expecting her to be so nice.

- Hmm, I hadn't thought about that, either. I have tried not to drink it, but it's either drinking it or not eating lately :(. I think I have some green tea around, though. OMG Yay about the ears! I'm so happy you got them!

those have been on my WL for some time. I finally saw a pair going for under 100mil I offered and she was really nice about it. Green tea is great for calming stomachs. I have a bad one too honey and its hard to eat because of it. Peppermint used to work for me too but it doesnt anymore either.
