Doing well for the most part. Can't kick this sore throat ug
Welcome!
Oh man I love strawberries :O They always go bad so fast though D: What are some foods you do get there that you like a lot?
Thanks D: Love your HA!
Woops... I just bought a trade stuff from someone, went to throw it in my wardrobe, and realized I bought one of the items from the cash shop in between offering for the lot and receiving it, and that one of the other items, I've already had for ages... Oh dear. And this is why I keep spreadsheets of my offers. But I guess I just wasn't paying attention!
Hmmm... Well, they have some really nice cheeses, and cheese fondue, and raclette... We have all the melting sets: fondue chinoise, cheese fondue, chocolate fondue, raclette... :O
Cookies are hit and miss. They like to hide ground up nuts in lots of cookies and cakes, which I don't love. But, they also have some amazing guezli (little cookies). My husband's ancestral town has some lovely ones called wi'i guezli (or something like that?) that are lovely little cookies with red wine in them. They are DELICIOUS. I also really like their Christmas cookies with anise in them.
And of course, Switzerland is great at chocolate. Lots of little bakeries and candy shops have their own fresh, handmade chocolates with amazing fillings. Bailey's filled, champagne filled, honey nougat filled... Good stuff. Really good stuff. :O Take Lindt's chocolate and multiply it by about a million units of amazingness, and you'll have an idea of what I mean. When the fillings are fresh, they are so much more lovely, creamy, and wonderful.
And I quite like spaetzle... It's sort of a fresh-boiled pasta dumpling-ish thing. Sometimes they add cheese to make it a tiny bit like an alpine version of mac and cheese, or you can add herbs or other flavors directly to the dough, and it's quite nice.

:O I love cheese and chocolate! That sounds great! Never been a huge fan on cookies so hit or miss there isn't so bad. It must be hard to resist the chocolate if it is that good huh?
It's so hard to resist... Today is my and my hubby's anniversary, and he brought home roses and a bag of those chocolates... He's a very smart man!

Very smart indeed :D Congrats, how many years? My husband wont buy me cut flowers because he says that they die to fast lol
Only three years, but they've flown by! My husband buys me plants sometimes, too, but frankly, our apartment has very limited light, so the potted plants seem to die just about as fast as the cut flowers! So I'd rather have some colorful roses for a week or two, than watch a potted plant slowly die over the course of just a week or so longer... :O

Totally understandable. My husband bought me a rose 3 1/2 years ago and its still kicking lol, he just usually doesn't buy flowers at all XD How many potted plants could you get over the years ya know XD Ah this year he made me an origami rose though! Yall have any plans for tonight?
That origami rose sounds beautiful... And you don't have to worry about it dying!
My husband bought me a miniature rose... It was beautiful for a couple of days. He'd left it at his parents in between buying it and the actual day that is was for, though, and it picked up a blight there. I tried to save it, but it was already too late... Maybe I could have saved it with enough light and better conditions, but in here? Nothing doing.
Lol, we have a wide window ledge, and even the plants lined up right there, an inch away from the window, still nearly die, and wind up plastering their leaves against the window glass in a desperate attempt to stay alive. :O The problem is, we're right under the attic, and the eaves are so big, they shade the window.
We had hoped to do something special tonight, but Switzerland seems to be a bit against me in that respect this year... Our once-in-two-weeks laundry day landed on the same day as our anniversary (my birthday, too, this year...), so I've been doing laundry all day, then this evening, my husband is gone for some big school presentation that he has to make in front of his boss, all the other electrical companies, and all the school sponsors. Since he couldn't get out of that, I figured there was no point in cancelling my classes, so I still have an afternoon class and an evening class today.
So, busy busy busy!!
But, we're planning to make up for it a bit over the weekend. My mother-in-law has a friend who received a gift card to one of those really neat blind restaurants... You know, where you sit in the dark, and all of the servers are blind, and you have to experience the food with smell and taste, because you can't see anything. Anyway, the gift card was about to expire, and the friend couldn't use it, so they gave it to us. I've always wanted to try out that experience, so we're going to do that this Saturday. :) Should be fun!

Aw, that's a bummer :( I bought my mom a mini rose and she luckily still has it barely hanging on in her apartment XD
Gosh, plants are really not the best option then huh?
-shakes fist- that sucks it was on your birthday and your anniversary!! You only have certain days you can wash?
That does sound fun! Here that is like 150 dollars a plate so that is really exciting. I thought about doing it and didn't wanna spend that much money DX
Yeah, Swiss apartments love a good wash schedule, and since we have a tiny washroom, that schedule is pretty limiting. We have every other Wednesday, and that's it.
Here, most restaurants are pretty expensive, but the blind restaurant isn't any better or worse, pricewise. The giftcard is about 75 franks, though, so even if it's pretty expensive, that'll be a good start on it...

about the blank posts: I thought that was only happening to me! What is going on, subeta? The post I used to do my dailies disappeared too, I'm so annoyed!
I'm fine, a little bored since my college's semester was cut short due to political situations... Now I'm sleeping way too much and not really drawing at all... :c

I am afraid I do not have a good gumbo recipe myself :( I will ask my husbands dad. I know it takes years of practice
