Exactly! Excellent update. I can't begin to count how many times I have seen someone confused about why their pet can't battle.
- The other big confusion is a pet that can't battle because they're already in a battle. Is that something that could possibly be added to the new drop down list?

every time a free challenger is released.
this is probably the biggest reason people ask this question so that would be a great addition
if you're in already a battle there won't be a dropdown at all, but a link to the battle you're already in (since you can't be in two battles at the same time with different pets, either).

Great idea. I forgot my battle pet needed HPs restored from the last battle. Now I can check that. ;)

This change should be really helpful for new or infrequent battlers.
This is very cool. I just had an issue yesterday with a pet I thought should have been on the battle list. This would have made it very easy to figure it out.
