I AM A FAIL OWL! I should go to bed tbh, it's 5.15am. I will go nap in a moment. My brain went to sleep some time ago. Gonna have a smoke and then shift my butt c: I'm bad at keeping good sleeping patterns, and feeling tired when I should. Unless I feel like I'm going to pass out, I just can't sleep ;_;
Holy shity I thought it had to be getting on super early hours for you! I feel you, myk sleep has been shit lately. I either sleep for days or not at all. Whee :P I'm just being boring and reading up on a new drug that was recently approved for bipolar here in the states. Same side effects as everything else, not much improvement over jack shit that I can see. Idiot.s
I have these pants:
I slept until 8pm last night. Had a bath at 3am. Went back to bed at 5am. Is there no improvement in the new drug? Why would they bring out a new one if it improves nothing? Is it at least cheaper to produce?
Well....was the bath nice? :) I seriously envy you having a bath. We only have showers here. D: I hope you still ended up sleeping well.
Well the new med is called Vraylar here and it is approved for schizophrenia and bipolar I. There really is not a lot of material out on it yet besides whatever the pharma company is claiming embellishing it's shit with. It's a new drug so my insurance is sure hell not going to let me try it till it has a generic, if it ever does. So, shrugs half don't care really. LOL (And to specifically answer your question...there are a ton of meds on the market that all do pretty much the same things when it comers to treating mania, depression and paranoia. From what I have been learning is even health care professionals that MAKE these drugs dont' exactly know even WHY they work if they do. They know HOW they work, but WHY? Makes me wonder why anyone trusts medications like this.
It was a good bath. I love baths, give me some Lush bath bombs or bubble bars and I can be in there for a good long while c: Medications are such a vague science, seemingly. Both meds I am on are not designed for what I take them for, but they randomly found they help those things. I'm on metformin for PCOS. Which means pharmacists want to ask me about the diabetes I don't have on the regular. That's pissing irritating. And amitriptyline is for depression, but in smaller doses helps migraines and anxiety. So it works a double shift for me.
Ugh LUSH TOO. LYou are killing me over her, woman. Seriously...I would kill for a nice big low light bubble bath with Lush and a good book!!!
GAH HOW ANNOYING. I remember you telling me something about that last year I think? Keep charts people. ha
I have heard of amitryptyline, but never taken myself. That is a really nice bonus that it works for the migraines, as well!
Alot of the medications that have worked for me are ones primarily to treat schizophrenia, oddly enough, but really don't care as long as the damn thing does something. haha Speaking of meds I'm really curious what my docter and I will agree to try next week. I am out of antipsychotics to try. I've officially been on all of them. I suggested trying a few one more time since some studies have proven that you can react differently to a medication when taken at a later time. With my luck no second time will even begin to fly. ECT doesn't work. Anti-depressant's are a crapshoot with the bipolar. I think it's a bit hilarious that I'm med resistant. Not afraid of trying new medications/therapies and it's p much gauranteed with any med I will 1. Get a sever side effect or 4 or/and 2. My body says med? what med? Might as well take fucking placebo's. XD
Thank god for humor LOL :D
Sorry for the delay, it's been a beast of a weekend! 600 is fine for the pants, I'm pretty sure that was slot :)
Lot has the pants for you :)
Gotta have that pamper time! Our bath is a bit shit though, it's short so you can't fit your whole body in if you want to lay down. Not like, hotel short, but it'd be nice to have a bigger bath.
Do you think your Dr will go for the second attempt at meds? Is there any chance that the side effects might subside after a while? The metformin had some shitty side effects initially, but thankfully they stopped after a few weeks. Sucks that some just don't work at all :/ If only there was some way for them to be able to run tests to determine which meds would work before prescribing them.
And yes, humour always helps! I joke that if I get diagnosed with another syndrome then I win a novelty teapot, ha!
