i'm not really (nor have i ever been) involved in any sort of kin community, but i've got quite a few kintypes myself, nearly all due to trauma. i saw someone mention BPD, which i have as well, so i have a very fragmented, unstable identity and kintypes are a great way for me to cope with that!

my main kintype is dragonkin, and it's kinda funny because i've always felt really connected to dragons ever since i was super young, so when i found out otherkin was a Thing i instantly made the connection. other general kintypes include Monsters (really vague, definitely trauma-related) and some more specific ones like Turing from R.O.M.
