Your assignment today is to create a piece of art in character. Keep in mind that you don't have to have any artistic skill at all. You can use a dollmaker, Subeta's HA system, ms paint, anything to create any kind of art you would like! (Sunny is partial to macaroni art herself :) )

Magnus doodled the snowy owl resting in a tree that he had seen that morning. Then he took some acrylic paints and slowly began to shade. He frowned and made some adjustments until he felt it was looking better. Showing his classmates his art was one thing, showing an adult was something else. Sheepishly he finally walked up and showed Miss Pines his owl.

Elune bites her lip as she stares at a blank canvas. She thinks of some of the things she loves: stars, the sea, and magic. She grabs globs of paint and begins smearing them around, unsure of where this is going. She then fine-tunes the piece with paintbrushes and adds a few stickers. In the end, she ends up with a representation of her first trip to Hogwarts.

(I seriously hope someone makes macaroni art. That owl is adorable!)

Don't tempt me. But I really don't think that fits Katsumi. ...Maybe I'll make some on my own, just for fun~

Gryffindor

Sam sighed, she had hoped to learn how to draw, but this sounded as bad as divination class. She got out her quill and after an hour of scratching at her parchment, had come up with as passable a drawing of a Welsh green dragon as she could manage. after tapping it with her wand to color it in, Sam raised her hand to ask Miss Pines how to make her picture move.

Gryffindor

Katsumi had never been particularly artistic. She doodled random stuff on occasion, but deliberately setting out to make art? That was a challenge. She grabbed a pencil and paper -- quills seemed like a needless hassle to the Ravenclaw -- and started sketching. First a sprouting seed, then the roots turned into mountains and trees on one side, and a broken glass on the other. The pieces of glass started looking like windmills, so she put in a full one, and added some wind that started as curlicues around the emerging plant.

It occurred to her rather belatedly that Celtic interlace always looked so elegant, but really was just formed of a complicated weave of a single line. Maybe she'd use that, if she needed to draw again.

Aderyn was an awful artist. As such, she glanced through a few books on art that the school had, and she finally found one picture that suited her. Waving her wand, she copied the picture onto a new sheet of paper and picked up some pencil crayons. The picture mixed two of her favorite things in the world - her cat, Boo, and her Fae heritage. When she finished, she held her picture at arm's length, admiring it.

Eros stared at a blank white canvas as he scratched his head. He slowly picked up a brush and dipped it into some red paint. He stared at the empty space for a while longer before making quick short strokes. Eventually, he blended all the short, red strokes with some slighter darker red strokes together until an image of a Quaffle formed.

Eros Sigurd - Slytherin

Ace sighed. Bloody hippy he thought belligerently as he grabbed a piece of parchment from his bag. He chuckled as he thought of the assignment, having a wild idea to draw the Giant Squid as stupidly as he could. Glaring down at the parchment he set to work, conjuring some markers and licking his lips. Ten minutes later, here is what he had.

Ace Germaine, Slytherin

Gwen looks at all the art supplies, she looks around at all her classmates, she sighs. Art is not her choice of artistic works - she would much rather write. But she is willing to try anything. She thinks of her pet Pip and decides to draw him.

Megan wasn't sure how she should proceed. She'd never been a stellar artist, her sketches of plants notwithstanding, her art tended to lack any kind of flair. She decided a few days would be enough time to get the assignment done and headed back to her dorm room to set her things aside before dinner. Walking into the dorm, her eye caught the strap poking out of her trunk; her long forgotten camera! Inspiration struck her as she pulled it out of her trunk. She set is beside her table; tomorrow she would go exploring to find the perfect image.

The next day, bright and early, Megan dressed quickly, grabbed her bag and camera then headed out to the grounds. The fog in the, misting around Hogwarts made her realise just how much she missed the thrill of photography. She set out towards the lake, hoping to maybe find a mermaid or even the giant squid, but after two hours, nothing piqued her interest so she headed out towards the Forbidden Forest, not intending to go in. She skirted the edges, eyeing the inner part of the forest when she caught sight of a pond she'd never known existed. Stepping slightly closer, she turned on her camera and used the zoom until she spotted the most beautiful water lily she'd ever seen. Snapping the picture she stepped back to admire how it looked on the screen of her camera. Smiling to herself she turned it off and headed back to the castle to find a way to print it out.
