I think those (and other items in the set) were probably originally not edible because it's just the raw ingredients, you're supposed to combine them with other stuff at the Genetech Lab to make the actual cookies or soup or whatever.
But I guess if our pets can already eat raw flour and eggs and meat and stuff, then why not? heh
This there a newly edible/minionable/readable list somewhere?
yeah that was most of my reasoning. poor diner's probably gotten salmonella several times over now
I don't know whether I should make this a new thread instead or something, but the deal with some of the Zombie Den "pets" has been bugging me a while.
2016's section introduced "Fungus Pets", which are not minions but wearables instead. It's disorienting enough on its own for them to be called 'pets' but not actually be usable as pets for your pet; but when you look at 2015's selection just 1 tab over, there are multiple 'pets' in the same store that actually are minions for your pet, muddying the usage further.
It's an odd situation since there are very few items on the site that are listed as 'a pet' as opposed to being 'about/for pets'. The only other item I could find on the site like that was a Chai Pet, which is understandably not a minion since it's based on a well-known brand of planters. But here it's different with the Fungus Pets since they aren't(as far as I know) based off any sort of brand/real item, and there's no real indicator that says that they aren't actually minionable, with even the descriptions not stating whether they're actually alive or not, and the fungus pet Stag's description confusing things further with its minion-sounding statement.
I know the first post says that wearables aren't going to become minions, but this feels like an unusual case that should be brought up. And if the rules are strict on No-Minioning, then maybe a name change should be in order for the funguses.
Sorry for the ramble, this thing has just been bothering me for a while since I kinda fell in love with the cute fungus stag when it first came out and was disappointed to find out that I couldn't give it to my pet properly. 😒
Maybe if they changed the names to be like "Fungus Pet Figurine" or something that implies that they're not actually real creatures. Because I'm pretty sure the intention is for them to be like a fungus version of the Chia Pets as you mentioned in your post.
As for the Stag's description, I think that's supposed to be a Harry Potter reference to Harry's famous Stag Patronus.
Something like this would probably be better as its own suggestion post though, since I don't think they'll make these items into minions since they're wearable and not meant to be real animals.
I think should be edible,
and has a face and I really want to be able to put one in my minion zoo.
added everything up to this point finally
yeah, that's probably better suited for its own thread :)
very late response but no. when a big wave of something happens, will post about it and which items are now something-able. I don't remember which group she pings though when that happens
Could maybe be edible, it's got whipped cream and cinnamon on its head.
weirdly, this is not edible.
- According to the Item Directory, it is edible.
No option to feed though
I'm a doofus. Ignore me XD.

- Hmm... I wonder if something is up with items. According to the Item Directory, all of those are supposed to be food items.
, they may be.... I just added them to my wardrobe haha. It's possible they are already XD.
They are edible... I'll walk myself out.
