He looked at her quizzically, as he thought he had applied it to her. Draining his own tea, he swirled it around and set it aside. It would be interesting to see what she thought of his cup. "That one looks like a bowler hat, and that one looks like a club and a bear maybe?"
() Gaia smiled "What do those mean? Once you have the whole picture connect the meanings and tell me about my future."
Magnus looked at his book... a hat at the bottom meant a new romantic interest. Ace of clubs meant good news and teddy bear meant thinking about childhood. "A new romantic interest brings good news and thoughts of your childhood."
Gaia looked puzzled for a moment and laughed "I like your style! Now put the other message and this one together and see what it tells you about me." Gaia encouraged Magnus ()
"Lets see..." he said pondering, "change, creativity, busy/travel, romance, good news and thoughts of childhood... So a change brings about your creativity. You will be busy and travel, which will bring a new romantic interest. And good news will bring about thoughts of childhood." Magnus said it with a little less doubt than he had previously.
"That is really close!" Gaia said clapping excitedly "I am actually going to the Caribbean during our break to see my mom's family and there is a boy I had a crush on when I was younger." Gaia high five Magnus "See? It is not so hard is it?" ()
He smiled feeling less embarrassed. Too bad Gaia was less intimidating than his actual teacher. Still he was trying and handed her his cup. "Oh that sounds like a great holiday. So what's it gotta say about me?"
"Well what do you see in your cup?" Gaia looked over at Diva "Do you want to give tea leave reading a go as well?" ( )
(OH BOY. I forgot to reply. I knew I would. )
"I'll give it a go, but I'm not much of a tea fan, so it might take awhile. I don't suppose you have any magically nice tasting tea?" Diva asked hopefully.
"The tea is a concoction of my family. Even though it is Peach and Orange flavored it will adapt to your taste buds. I am sure there is ice around here somewhere if you prefer it cold." ()
"Awww, come on," Magnus whined, "You're a seer. Show me whatcha got." His eyes widened and looked pleading. Much like a puppy wanting food. "Please..." (ooc: sorry for the delay been crazy busy like all week and barely awake lmao)
"You need to exercise your inner eye. If you don't Divination will continue to be a difficult subject. You have done fantastic so far! You should give yourself more credit! you should also begin writing your dreams. it could help give insight to difficult situations in life. I can help you with that as well!" Gaia sat on the beanbag close to the table with a new cup of tea. ()
Magnus frowned and muttered, "me inner eye needs glasses." The dream journal sounded like a lot of extra work to him, but it could be interesting he supposed. Begrudgingly, he began inspecting his cup. "Er, this 'ere looks like a fish...an over 'ere looks like a flower and this one looks like a manky old boot."
"Do those things make sense to you?" Gaia said taking the cup and inspecting it. Gaia smiled " hum... do you have a love interest?"
Did they make sense to him? "Not really," he admitted, "the boot don't seem ta fit with the other two." A what? He would have accidentally dropped the tea cup had Gaia not taken it from him. As it was, he was turning as red as a tomato. "Dunno...bout love..." he sputtered. Didn't everyone one know he had a thing for a certain Slytherin girl? "I mean... like 'er... an' all..."
Gaia giggled "You really should pay more attention to the cup. That is not an old boot. It is a cowboy boot. See the little star silhouette. It is barely there but it is there. Not all figures will be clear to the physical eye. There are things you need to see with your inner eye." Gaia smiled and turned the cup towards Magnus that is a Forget-me-not flower, a cowboy boot, and the fish is actually a fish. The kind of fish is open to interpretation, but it would seem sort of like an eel? See the little long tail?" Gaia had a hint of mischief in her eye "do you know what earth animals look like eels?" Gaia giggled "the cup is open to interpretation. I actually saw different objects on your cup, but it seems your subconscious is trying to tell you something." Gaia put the cup on the table and leaned back on her chair grinning.

At first he thought she meant a worm... but suddenly he thought she meant his fish was a snake.... and the certain girl was from America... and she lived in the desert where cowboy boots were.... Was Gaia implying he was in love with Sam? He blinked at her knowing he was horribly red. "Er... so what did you see in it?"
This time Gaia laughed "Relax, it is not what you think." Gaia stopped as if considering something "It could turned into that, but right now it might mean some of your attention is divided. Maybe you have been wanting to tell her something or ask her something. It is obvious there is someone in your thoughts even when you don't realize it." Gaia giggled she knew too well how crushes work then shook her head before she, herself, started turning pink in the face.

"Oh," he said rather dumbly. His private sketchbook which he kept hidden was full of Sam pictures. His notes in Divination had very little information and lots of her pictures. Maybe that was part of the reason he was so ghastly at the subject? He certainly did more daydreaming there than anywhere else. "Guess, so...er so...um what now?" Trying to change the subject? Who, Magnus? Never!
