Now, for my contest entry, I'd like to nonimate .

I met many moons ago... maybe 1999, 2000?... when she ran a My Little Pony message board. We were friends then, though not, I feel, super close... those days are shadowy, my memory is crap, but she's been a part of my life for a long time. I don't exactly remember when it was that we started emailing each other back and forth, but we've carried on that way for several years now. We talk about anything and everything... silly stuff and personal stuff and anything that comes into our brains. We're friends/mutuals on just about every social media site including the twitters that neither of us even use, even the myspaces that neither of us have touched in years and years, but the core of our friendship is our emails (and the occasional text). She's always willing to listen to me no matter what I'm talking about. I feel comfortable telling her a lot of things that I can't or won't tell anyone else (and I like to think she feels the same about me). Just seeing her name pop up in my email notifications makes me smile. She puts up with my rambling about fandoms she's not in and characters she doesn't know; just because they're something I care about, she cares about them too. She even listened to me ramble about subeta for so long she finally started using her account. :3 She is endlessly supportive of anything I do, but most especially my writing, and that's more important to me than I can even put into words. She's always willing to read anything I write and she always tries to give me advice to be a better writer (even though I'm bad at following it), but in the most gentle, constructive way to spare my delicate writer's ego. She always encourages me even as I jump from project to project. She's a true friend in all senses of the word. I've never met her in person (yet!) but I still number her among my best friends. Love you, Eed. ❤
