Lyra the Cursed Music Fairy
Having a maestro as a father meant music is at the core of Lyra’s heart. She does compose and she does play, but Lyra loves to listen, and she was ever on the hunt for new sounds.
Lyra would flit from artist to artist, and was content...for a while.
With her background and her love of music, she thought she knew what would be best, and decided to take action. She would sneakily mark the music sheets, changing note pitches here and there, rewriting chords and drawing in slurs. "It's better this way," she thought.
The perplexed and annoyed musicians usually wouldn’t take to her changes, so she cressiendoed her tactics. Whenever they practiced, Lyra took her pan flute and blew in their ear the melody or note changes she wanted them to play. Lyra skillfully avoided the guardian fairies, but her misdeeds were reported by her heavyhearted father, and she was punished: upon hearing a song, she is compelled to repeat it, note for note.
Bitter about her curse, she now seeks to torment those around her; whenever you get a song stuck in your head—that’s Lyra’s doing!
I am entering my fairy for "most sparkly". (Going to upload the background story tomorrow, already past midnight here....)

Background Story: Meet Jumanah, her name meaning „Silver Pearl“ in Arabian. She lived in an underground ice palace below the hottest desert of Samarkand and was the best friend of Scheherazade who has to tell all those exciting stories every night to keep her king Scheherban entertained. After around 500 told stories, Scheherazade felt a bit worn out and so she asked Jumanah to fly around and keep an ear to the ground for enthralling tales and histories. Jumanah visited almost every piece of this and many other worlds during this task, busy soaking it all in, already weaving enticing words and sentences on her way back to her eagerly waiting friend. Most people aren´t aware of it yet it was this little fairy who helped create the wonderful 1001 stories which are known as „Arabian Nights“ today.

Welcome to the thread! You are all entered for scariest fairy!

Here's my entry for your Fairy HA contest. c:
Wings:
scariest fairy category
Pari is frightening because she brings about death from seemingly innocuous things. She will lead you to your demise in situations like a mushroom that looks harmless, an inviting lake on a hot day, or a handsome stranger when you've lost your way. Pari is present whenever someone feels that split second of terror after he or she realizes that it's too late to reach safety. She reminds humans that evil comes in many forms. Mothers warn their children to always be careful because they can sense Pari after they've brought new life into the world.

You are all entered for scariest fairy. I love the story! Also I love those hair clips in your HA.
Thank you! I know I've told you this before, but your HA is so beautiful. :)

Thank you! We have similar styles and I am always in love with what you have on. I LOVE those clips but can't seem to ever find them.
That's so sweet of you to say. I got them as a gift in a raffle very recently. They come in black and attached to wigs too.

- Sorry I'm getting this in so late! My head just wasn't cooperating much this week. I am entering mine into the Most Unique Fairy Category.

Ivy the Seelie Protector
In the deepest forests of our world, there exist remnants of our connection to the Faelands. Through centuries of storytelling, the reality of these places has been transformed, leaving nothing but myths and legends where true belief in magic was once celebrated and honored. Despite that humans have abandoned this knowledge, the portals from our world to the Faelands remain open. The Seelie, or Summer Court, keep constant vigilance to stop any Unseelie, the dark fae, who might seek to cross into our world and bring chaos with them. One such Seelie is Ivy, whose love for her forest has kept it green and thriving for thousands of years. Her connection to the trees allows her to sense when someone wanders through and handle it accordingly, sending her firefly sprites to dazzle stray humans and eradicating any Unseelie threats with her powerful magic. When she is not in the heat of battle, Ivy spends as much time as she can with her best friend and snail companion, Smoosh. Ivy gave her heart and love to Smoosh, which has let them live for hundreds of years instead of the usual snail lifespan of twenty-five. There is nothing Ivy wouldn’t do to protect her forest, her Smoosh, or our world.
Warning: While this was a lot of fun, I was in a dark place when I created this.
Just FYI this is a Most Scary Fairy entry
Murder, Avatar of pain

Among the mortal realms there exists a pestilence of hatred, sorrow, greed, and fear. The Faerie known only as Murder is the cultivator of this disease among humanity. Since the dawn of emotion there has always been avatars of what is right and what is wrong. Clear-cut courts in the Faerie realms will always dictate what these beings can and cannot do.
Or that is what they would have you believe. In reality the whims of the Fae themselves are what separate this planet from total destruction. Those who have dreams flooded with blood and danger are the rare mortal who can sense murder feast. The pursuit of money, power, resources, and even petty revenge are the juicy steak and wine of murder.
Manipulating the mortal cattle like a impassioned puppet master, murder pushes all to their limits, hoping to break them. To make their pain, suffering, and anguish her next meal. Beware to all who see her visage in your dreams; it may be the last day of your humanity...

Ivy is all entered into the unique fairy category! I'm sorry your head is being such a pain.
