New theme picker
After at least a day pick the next person :)
I had alot of fun dancing but there are a few things I think they could stand to improve on. What did you think?
Interesting theme.
I hope you had a good day! ^_^
How was work? Did everything go okay?
Aww, thanks. 😊 I'll pick the next person once I'm back home from my seminar tomorrow (~ 1 pm Subeta time). :-)
New theme: Bunnies! :-D
I survived. ;-) Luckily I get to plan my own schedule so pushing back and forth work isn't a major problem.
That must make things easier. How are your allergies? Any better?
It does, most of the time. Until one of the projects I'm working in suddenly gets a super heavy work load and my schedule goes 'poof'... ^^"
By my estimate I have about 2 more weeks until the hayfever will set in since it only recently got warmer for longer than one day at a time. So right now I still get to enjoy the spring. :-D
I hope things go at a steady pace for you project wise. I'm still waiting for mine to finish. It's the pine trees that I have trouble with. The weather has been wet and cold so not all of the pollen has dropped yet.
and
I have hay fever and fur/dust allergies but it doesn't stop me enjoying my baby boy Thumper ❤
Thank you for the theme Lanara. I love it :D
Hello chatterbox! Just got home from work so I'm snacking on some clearance Easter candies and catching up on Subeta since I haven't gotten much time to play the past 48 hours or so. Looks like I missed out on some drama llama regarding shops and galleries. Any of you guys have any opinions on what's happening? As a rather new player, I'm not quite sure what to think.
So far it's looking good. My personal arch-enemy is cottonwood (they cause the worst symptoms in the entire hay fever period), which won't start until it's a lot warmer.
Thank goodness for means to counteracts allergy symptoms, then. XD We never had pets because my mum and sister are allergic to any pet we might have wanted. :-(
Being fairly new myself I may not be the right person to ask but while I can't say I'm overjoyed, I do understand why it's necessary. I'm also hoping they make moving items out of shops easier while they're at it so at least there'll be some nice side-effects. But I have ~ 5-6k items in my shops and galleries, which is not that much.
I always feel that's the sign of a true lover of furry creatures. If the reaction isn't too bad and you just don't care because you have your fluffy boy. On in my case the girls. Does he shed much?
A lot really depends on how they do it but as a long term player I'm not too worried about the new shop system. According to the post the items in the shops are taking up anywhere between 25% to 40% of the server space. They think this, combined with the jpusher software that loads the previews, is what has been causing the Error 504/505 pages. So, a new system for the shops with a limit on how many items you can fit in one shop should (key word here being should) solve the issue of the site running slow. Currently the thing I'm worried about is how many galleries we can have. I have two mostly because I'm something of a packrat but also because I'm trying to get the achievements for pet treasure boxes. It seems the staff want people to use their items rather than horde them and they're looking for suggestions on how to encourage people to do that. Overall I'm okay with this but I would rather not loose my gallery of minions I've been working on and I don't know how that would work.
How long do your symptoms normally last for? It's not a whole summer thing is it?
oh wow your human avatar is so stinking cute. I hope they do make a remove all or remove page at a time feature before they new shops go live because I would love to more conveniently be able to switch over to a new shop instead of removing my 900+ unique items one at a time. I've been toying with the idea of opening a gallery over the past few weeks but I think I should wait before making a decision since no one really has any idea what is going on right now.
It's nice to talk to a long term user who isn't worried. I do worry, just a little, because with a gold account and not even hardcore playing my shop was around 900 unique items as of last night. So I'm going to lose income until they up the shop amounts, which I hope is fairly quickly after the new release. As far as the using items thing, I certainly don't mind that! I actually like using items and putting things in my collections- except I wouldn't like having to do that. I like the choice. So IDK. I guess I'll just wait and see what happens before making any conclusions. Thanks for your thoughts!
Likewise here in regards to Masq this year. As happy I was to try to collect some of the now retired 2011 items, I wish they were a little cheaper. Although I sent a lot of dances, I ended up with not enough to collect this years items. Also, I've always not been a big fan of how many Lounge Trinkets they pass out. It always feels like they pass out more of those then that other type..but it could just be me. The bags they use to convert over lounge trinkets to steamworks is not a fair deal to the common player. We waste more lounge trinkets just trying to convert them over for wearables/etc. I wish it was a 1 for 1 price :( This is always my argument each year but I usually hold it to myself in hopes they fix it every year.
As a long time player, I'm not yet sold on this idea. I understand why, but not exactly thrilled. This site has always had a hurry up and release new features but when things start to go wrong with said features, they put it on the backburner for future updates. There are improvements to be made that I realize it would not happen overnight. When we players donate real currency for pixel items, we do feel that there should be some bang for our buck. We've been promised certain changes for years and so far nothing but patches to show for it. Look at the wardrobe for an example. They rushed out the new version, but have yet to actually finish it and here we are, they are working on shops. I do understand how to run a website and business, so I know there is more to it not being shared with us folks. I will sit back and wait to see how it goes. Sorry about the soapbox :(
Cute theme and HA! Thanks for the newest challenge :)

It's usually for 4-6 weeks (if I'm lucky), I think about as long as it takes for all plants to start poducing pollen.
Thank you. 😊 Having painstakingly sorted my gallery (~ 2k items), I can understand about the concern about the tiresome removal (because the effort necessary to sort or remove items is about the same as the process is rather similar). I'm also sticking to the old shops for now.
I expect things to get clearer once the beta-testing is over. Staff also hinted that the item limits might be raised once the shops go live for everyone and that the low numbers were (in part) due to this only being beta testing.
Thanks. 😊
And I don't mind about the soapbox. ;-) If such a fundamental change as the shops didn't cause discussions and critical feedback, I'd be a lot more worried. Resistance to change shows that people care (resistance to change and its reasons are the topic of my presentation for my seminar tomorrow XD). So long as people remember to be polite, I think such discussions are necessary to show what the users are thinking.
I understand completely :) That's another reason why I enjoy this group. We can hold discussions without the drama (or at least that I know of). I love that we are all from different walks of life and it really brings something new to the table. I too have a ton of gallery items so I know the sorting will be ridiculous but needs to be done once the shops are finalized. I too hope they lift the item limits. I guess I shouldn't have horded so much but I am an achievement player, so I was working towards a goal.
