Hi!! I just thought it would be super cute to have a lil board where we can all post our monthly goals and motivate each other!!
My goals for March are:
What are your goals for this month? If you don't have any for March in particular, feel free to post a general goal! (also if there's a similar topic or if i did something wrong, i sincerely apologize!!!!)
Wonderful idea!! It's always helpful to have people encouraging you towards your goals ^_^
My goals for March:
I'm sorry for the long list! I'm sure I could add more, but I'll leave it at that for now. Thank you for the board, :D I would love to see your drawings sometime, if you'd like to share them!
all of that sounds super great!!!!! man, working two jobs seems tough... but then again, i'm a full time student and just got a student worker position on campus and balancing school and that job is a lot easier than i thought it would be! i'm sure you can do it!!! as for eating healthy, i'm just gonna casually drop the idea of veganism here and leave it at that (i'm happy to answer questions about it though! but i know how people get when they feel pressured or guilted into eating a certain way and i don't want this board to be that)
i'll definitely post my drawings once i ... actually have some to post..OTL
I basically have one goal for March: Get everything ready for baby's arrival! I'm due in early May, so I want to have everything set up and ready for him by the end of the month, just in case he decides to come a bit early. =P
-Lose some weight/get more active. I'm doing pretty good at this so far! -Get a job! I feel like such a leach having my parents send me money to get by at my age :( -Once I have a job, work on my "grown up" wardrobe...it's time to get some feminine essentials instead of nerdy t-shirts and jeans all the time :x -Be more organized and do better on my classwork.

This is my goal for the next week and half -Write my 10-12 page research paper on the Lady Jane Grey -Write my 10-12 page research paper on the Black Death -Write my 8-10 page research paper on Ivan the Terrible -Answer my test question for my English Reformation class
Rest of March -Work on my senior thesis -Survive
I've considered the vegan route a few times, but I'm not sure I could give up milk and cheese. Especially cheese. I would really like to, but I have it every single day. Maybe I could ease into it for a bit? Haha well I look forward to seeing them when you have them!
Lots of great goals here!

I don't know if this is something unique to my school, but if you're around your previous college and they have a career development department, I'd definitely suggest hitting them up. Even if they don't "offer services to non-student" or something like that, tell them that you used to go there and you're interested in taking a class or two but you need a job in order to do so (of course, this is when they'll also inform you of various scholarships and forms of financial aid you may be eligible for). I have no idea if this is feasible for you though, so definitely do what you think is best!!
I think cheese was my biggest thing, although I can't say I went slow with my transition - I'm very much an all-or-nothing person, so I just cut out everything in one day. But that's actually not common!! Everyone goes at their own pace. :)
R.I.P. (just kidding - you can do this!!! i really suggest clearly outlining your papers. it could be just me, but when i'm writing in a rush, things get super jumbled.)
I know that feeling of guilt. :/ But! Look at it this way - you'll take care of them too, at some point. I'm also feeling that bit about the clothes though. Sooooo much of what I wear are freebies or hand-me-downs. Now that I have a job and actually want to dress all cute, it's a struggle.
Congratulations!!!!! It's good that you're getting prepared ahead of time. It always shocks me how many people seem to wait until the last minute. Like they look at their child and think, "......I knew I was forgetting something." and then rush to finish an entire nursery as quickly as possible. But, on the other hand, there is absolutely no way I can blame them. They've got a lot on their hands!!!
Thank you. If you or anyone else opts to send flowers to my funeral, I like calla lilies LOL
Yeah, I always make outlines. They make everything so much easier. Esp because I have trouble knowing where to place things
Figure out what I want to actually do. Just in general. I'm actually in a really comfortable place right now with a good home life, good job, and... it recently occurred to me that I could actually live every single day the same for the rest of my life and not blink about it. I've always been painfully unmotivated, so I could see myself doing the same shit, for eternity. That concerned me. I'm turning 26 in June and I'm way too comfortable just going through the motions. That made me uncomfortable, so I've decided I better do something about that before I wake up at 75 and realize I'm STILL doing the exact same thing as I did at 25.
i'm quitting my job in early april so i just wanna get through march without losing my mind!!
i wish i could offer some advice that didn't sound completely cheesy, but i really suggest just doing something new every day! that way you get in the habit of changing things up, and you may discover a hidden talent or secret desire or something like that along the way!
@ poppet knitting is an art i'm sure i'll never master. crocheting, maybe. but knitting? probably not. what sort of projects are you going to work on?
@ anime good luck!!!!! keep your eye on the prize. (maybe pretend you're in a sports anime and you get that cool gleam in your eye every time you think about your goal)
DANG, that's some good advice! my goal is literally to have more time after class to lounge around and chill... my eyes are already gleaming at the thought.
Thank you! I've been so excited to start setting up for a while now, too. Haha! But our place is kinda small, so we would have had a bunch of baby stuff just sitting around taking up space not being used, and that didn't make much sense. =P
I want to do well in college bc my life depends on it ;_____; GOOD GRADES. STRONG BODY o/ uheuheuhe papyrus will always believe in me anyway (kudos if you get my reference people)
I like to do both. Right now my to-do list includes stress balls, two hats, a scarf, a sweater, a shawl, and a blanket. I'll be able to get the first three things done this month.

NYEHEHEH!! NO FEAT OF OPTIMISM IS TOO GREAT FOR THE MIGHTY PAPYRUS!!! for real though, you can do it!!! spacing out is a problem i have as well. pretty sure it's a defense mechanism to guard against stress or stressful activities. gotta get those useful coping skills!!!
that is a pretty big list! but it seems like you're able to work pretty fast, so i'd be proud of that. doesn't it usually take people more than a month to finish a blanket?
