These pets are limited, because Blackmoon. It's been like what, a half a decade since we've seen any last come out of his factory? A new limited release of them would be fun.

It's true we've been distracted by all the dancing and the murder mysteries and such so we might have missed any. We've gotten everyone a futuristic version when we did time travel, and everyone had to scramble around to appease Calvin during the last scavenger hunt: some users never even knew they were an option or how to get one under-the-table.

From a sheer market visibility and take over the world via battlepets standpoint, it might behoove Blackmoon and be good for the economy of Atebus if more were released. A limited supply custom built for only the best of customers, mind.

Aren't both of those pets available through elixirs though? Or are you asking that these pets be released in new colors?

I am not asserting that they are too rare or unavailable, no. Anyone can get one via elixir, just as you say. So a release is not actually a needed must have necessary necessity.

From a roleplaying view, and this is a virtual petsite, it is nice if they get officially released instead of people going under the table and getting them via Elixir of a pet that didn't start out as a Cadogre/Endeavor. I have no problem with this being a very very rare event. Five years is a loooong time though. Neopets Lutari and Hissi get released more often than that.

2 From a gender point of view, if you elixir your pet, it retains its gender. A pet might have an opinion about that, being placed in spirit in a mechanical body that they've always wanted, but stuck with the idea of gender still in their brain. Cadogre and Endeavor are genderless if you get one built for you. Buying a Genderless Berry is pricey.

Yup, why not? I've been here 7 years and I can't remember any having been released. Sounds a fun idea =)

I'd say, either remove the restriction and let the users create 'em as they please, or make it an event slightly more common than the bumbus queen invite. Never expires, takes you to a mini-quest where you have to get some restockable (preferably tech-y) things to help build the pet of your choice. Kind of like steamwork or nostalgic pets.

But... personally, I don't see the point of these easily-obtainable-but-limited pets? The only other LE pet was the sheeta (that I can remember) which can now be freely created afaik? The other "special" ones were the darkonites and swampies and with the Zapper v1 getting axed, they're stupidly rare to get "naturally", so you have to use an elixir either way.

I think the only ones I can see as an exception are the bhakoru and neela, but even they aren't really that limited. You can find people willing to help you get a bhakoru on the forums free of charge all the time and neelas are constantly available cash shop pets.

tl;dr - I kind of agree with the suggestion, but ultimately don't see the point of forced LE pets when they're constantly available via easily restockable elixirs anyway.

Cadogre and Endeavor creation should be completely overhauled.

Now that we have items allowing to make pet genderless, going and just allow Cadogres and Endeavors to be created nillywilly will crash the market on a thing that's a BHH item in the first place.

Have Blackmoon charge you a ludicrous amount to allow you to create a Cadogre, or an Endeavor. Money sink.

Telenines, Cybills, Hippotus and I think Kerubis all have been limited in the past. Aeanoids and Bumbus are special.

I support a release of endeavors and cadogres for the exact reason that genderless berries are overpriced in user shops. There is no reason for them to be 30 million in shops when regular sex berries are running for 500k.

precisely! like i get that genderless pets are supposed to be less common than male and female pets because, idk, it makes them more special/unique/whatever but like... there's no reason for genderless pets to be so out-of-reach for the average user. i think they're great for representing agender/non-binary characters, or characters that wouldn't really have a gender for various reasons (inanimate object, ambiguous spirit or natural force or whatever) and i don't think that should be something only accessible to those willing to save up that sP and splurge it on the genderless berry (or jump through the hoops of creating a steamworks pet and then making them not steamworks).

I don't consider genderless berries overpriced considering they're a BHH item. The gender berry is far more common because it's free from the Iku tree. Their price discrepancy is understandable.

I think a re-release of Cadogres and Endeavors is called for, though. In all my years on Subeta it's happened once, for a day or two.

Full support for flooding the market with genderless pets to bring the price down on the berries. I don't care how.

I severely dislike that genderless berries are so hard to get to. I'm forced to misgender my nonbinary characters, which really gets under my skin both on an ethical level and because having a nonbinary character with a "real" gender label attached passively validates ignorant people.

I don't see a reason for a limited pets anymore.. it's an old fashion feature of pets sites..

If it's the genderless berries you're actually worried about and not the cadogres/endeavors, just give Amber a nudge to drop them into the crystal shop again? I feel that genderless pets are supposed to be a bit harder to get, but I agree that the current price tag in user shops is a little... no.

Concerning pets being limited edition, I still stand by my former post on the topic, but I feel like I have to clarify: there's (in my opinion) absolutely no point in keeping a pet "limited edition/hidden" on the create-a-pet page when there are literally truckloads of restockable and cheap elixirs/species changers for that particular pet species on the market.

The only exception being the neela (because CSC). Aeanoids, bumbi and bhakorus should stay limited edition because there should be a bit of a challenge involved if you want one of those particular pets. Even if that means zapping for one, growing one, or asking your friend/someone on the forums to help you get one.

Yeah I'm all in favor of just getting rid of the 'limited' pet species thing. Doesn't make a whole lot of sense considering you can just get elixirs of said pets lol

I think about these babies quite often. I support a release of a new batch if only because this is a feature of Subeta that has gone untouched for almost 7 years. SEVEN YEARS! It's just been sitting there doing nothing, taking up like half the Ziara map. I believe This is the news post for the last batch released (it's when I got my Cadogre). That's ridiculous and nothing should have been left alone for that long.

My hope was/is that once Cadogres and Endeavors get their lifelike dolls we'd see an update and a new batch/method to get them. So I don't mind waiting until their pet pages and lifeloke dolls are done.

If the goal of this is just to make genderless pets more available, then there should probably just be a better way to do it. Put genderless berries in the MC instead of BHH, or make genderless an option and make it free when creating a pet, something else.

Can we battle Blackmoon to make one of our pets a Endeavor/Cadogre? That would be fun -- even if it's not tied into a plot. :)
