It seems that people were able to bite even if you didn&;t sign up as soon as the skins were awarded. Unfortunately there is nothing that can be done for those already infected but it is fixed for next time.</p>

Hooboy I feel kinda bad now because I may have bitten people in that window :x If they were biteable and I didn't see an indication they were looking for a specific virus I assumed they either wanted mine or didn't care. I hope I didn't infect anyone that didn't want to be or had wanted something different.
to interject here- the hustler does infect you immediately but the trade off for that is you get a random new virus. it doesn't matter which one you selected to start off with. the 'i changed my mind' option is only available BEFORE you get infected. you cannot cure a strain until it has matured and you get an event saying the skin is unlocked in your wardrobe. the bottled antilovirus was a cure for a previous year's event before they started unlocking the strains as skins (and therefore doesn't work on new viruses).
