Okay I keep clicking on the flowers and collecting them as I see them (as they randomly appear).. Now what do I do with them after collecting them?

You can lay them down that the memorial or frag them for crystals. :)

I forgot what they were for so I had to get someone to remind me. :P I'm pretty sure there's an achievement for laying flowers at the memorial.
