Oh I can't even think about that but I'm obsessive about their well being, feed them high quality and keep them exercised. They're all in good health and hopefully have loooong lives ahead. :D My mom has an 18 year old chihuahua/dachshund mix and she's doing fantastic! You'd never guess her real age with the way she prances along like a puppy. Wouldn't surprise me if she makes it into her 20s, a friend of mine had a dog that lived to be 24!

I might come across as a bit fanatical here but I try to feed them mostly home-cooked meals. When I do use commercial brands I steer clear of any that contain by-products and junk. Merrick and Natural Balance are a couple brands I've used before and feel comfortable with. My dogs also love raw treats, carrots are one of their favorites! :D

it's too hot year-round where I live to have a husky without dedicating all your attention to it's comfort so I just admire them from afar~

Ohhh yes you have done your research :) I also look at ingredients. Also there is a site where they have rated the food up to 5 stars. I could never afford any 5 star brands so I was at 3 or 4 (I think 4) BUT now I only feed a raw diet. Been a few months since I started and they haven't had any problems at all. They love it and I love hearing them crunching on their food lol.

Aww where do you live? They can live there as long as (if theres a backyard) they have shade outside when they are out, some do like to sunbathe. Have AC in the house :) If you don't have a backyard and have to walk them. Don't over walk them as they can get overheated so take some breaks in the shade. :) I know there are huskies in FL, TX, etc.

i live in Puerto Rico!! it's basically an island so out temperature is literally above 70 degrees year-round. in the summer it hits the 90s easy. our electric bills are wayyyyyyyyyy high so having an AC isn't an option. regardless, i've always said i'd move to the States in the future, so the dream will come true someday!!

Ohhh man. Haha I see then having a Husky isn't an option at all there. Aww well I rreally do hope you move in the States and be able to own a Husky one day!!^^

YES that is the one!! :D And yes they are lucky and they should know it LOL They sometimes eat better than anyone else would haha XD

I'm a grad school student. I honestly just wouldn't have the means to take care of a dog right now nor the space really to do so.

That said, my cousin's family has a husky named Ponyo. He's adorable.

When I was in middle school, our neighbor's husky was named Dakota too. She was the sweetest dog, loved humans and ridiculously friendly to people.

I had 2 huskies as well! 2 of my pets are named after them. I had a solid white husky named sakha and a black and white one named pug

Pug was more my dog than sakha. sakha was more my hubbys. They died a year apart they were both around 10 years old. I miss them (esp Pug)!! I hope to one day either get a nother, or one of the minature ones.

Honestly, I have a half German Shepherd, half we're not sure? I'd love to say he's part husky, due to some of his behaviors and there's something about his eyes. However, it could just be me dreaming. Haha.
