It's been pretty good, though it somehow ended up being the coldest weekend we'll probably have all winter, haha. It went by fast and I'm a little sad that I'll have to be going back tomorrow morning, but the next time I'm home will be for spring break, which is a week.

pretty sure Whole Foods has them here though I don't drive an hour or more anymore that direction for shopping. I stick to local as much as I can unless I want to take in a different atmosphere. And is it as cold as the news is making it out to be for y'all?

Unreal Candy offers primarily peanut butter cup varieties that are free of corn, gluten, soy and are non-gmo. And when I compare the price of other brands of chocolates I don't think they're pricey. Just that they are a splurge since they aren't necessarily anything I have to have in my day to day life. Though if you like peanut butter cups and or candy coated chocolate/peanuts these would be nice to try.

I've seen them but I've not tried them simply because they have soy in them. Which is something (soy) that I do my best to avoid when possible, which is another reason I've been eating less chocolate and candy in general. I've never heard of Black and Green so I did a search, interesting. :)

oooh, that sounds lovely! I woke up to him standing in the room with a bouquet of roses and a balloon that read I Love You! on it and to top it all of he made chicken parm sandwiches for us. Other than that we didn't do too much, just stayed inside and kept to ourselves.

~ I have 2 Whole Foods within 20 minutes of me, so I made the decision to buy my produce and meat there as I like the quality better. The rest of the groceries I buy at Shaw's. Yup it's pretty damn cold. Right now it's 2 degrees above zero, which is an improvement from the -9 from 12 hours ago.

lol if only it were that warm here. The thermometer is currently reading -20 here. xD It's suppose to warm up pretty fast though. I think tomorrow is going to be a lot better, and we're even supposed to see temperatures in the 40s later this week.

that's nice. Though I don't know if I'd buy from Whole Foods as much as I shop at a few other places for the best bargains and prices. And I'm glad my weather folks aren't telling fibs about the weather up North, haha. Hope it warms up some for y'all. :)

~ I never pictured myself shopping at Whole Foods before I had my second child. He had an allergy to oats as a baby and the only place I could find him allergy friendly food was Whole Foods. Nowadays every store has an organic section, so I am finding it cheaper to shop at places like Shaw's. I'm lucky I can afford to shop there, for the little amount I do purchase.

Whole Foods is a bit overpriced for me, but I have walked around in one a few times. I like Sprouts (like Whole Foods, but smaller). Their prices seems a tad cheaper. There are a few healthy type stores around where I live, so definitely not in a shortage up here lol. Trader Joes is pretty fun to shop every once in awhile. I like their wine selection a bit more then the rest of it :P

~ It's definitely overpriced. I've learned to shop the sales and get the 365 brand of things as they are quite often on sale. It definitely helps that places like Shaw's carry some items my kids enjoy from Whole Foods. They are at least a couple of dollars cheaper there. Thankfully my now 5 yr old grew out of his oat allergy. It makes it so much easier to shop at regular grocery stores.

Food sales are the best! That's good he grew out of it, having food allergies is not fun.

G'morning everyone! I've never shopped at Whole Foods so uh... yeah.

Unfortunately, I seem to have developed a cold yesterday AND I got my period this morning. So uh I could be doing better. But at least it's a holiday so there's no classes today! I am spending most of my afternoon covering shifts at work, but I'll be making money 8)

I can't believe that survival hasn't started yet?? And now the announcements are just taunting us :(

I'm hoping something happens this afternoon or tonight. I hope they continue the story line with Ecks and Skitters.

Sounds like a crappy start to the day. :( And yes, I'm surprised we don't have Survival yet either! I can't wait for it to begin. The Crystal Shop newspapers talked about an outbreak, so I guess now we just wait for it to hit the general population...

I think the newspapers weren't new, but just rereleases of items from the first survival? When the zombie strains first happened. Subeta's just toying with us :(

I'm excited for the new items too! I'm hoping for a good amount of food, I'm trying to hit a goal for my gourmand pet

O damn, I was hoping they were new. :( At least they're hinting at it, though, so hopefully that means we're pretty close to starting.

It seems like a pretty good event for food! :) Should be lots of chocolate, I would guess. I'm hoping for some lacy and flower wearables.

and ~ Yeah they were from the first survival. I managed to snag all of those but the second one when they first came out. That first pandemic set the stage for the infections as users were pretty psyched about the different strains. That was quite a year too. I had managed to not get an infection until towards the end of the event, so I had no time to get the cure and try for another infection.

I wasn't around for the first year, but it must have been really exciting to see all of that for the first time! I'm glad they let us get a bunch of old infections last year. I snagged Butterfly Bruise before anything else. :)

~ I was psyched about that too. It really was awesome watching the infections progress for the first time. Butterfly Bruise was the second one I snagged after getting the newer Shark infection last year.

like @ Vestele, i was also on subeta when the pandemic thing got introduced!! i remember everyone freaking out abt what was happening to their ha's :') i still have the subeta tribune special issue I, III & VII in my vault but im willing to give them away?? (is something like that even allowed on sb)
