I am a beginner knitter. I knit a scarf for myself and my 2 boys last year. I need to pick it back up again though. I need to knit a baby blanket for my best friend due in August. I also need to find a simple pattern to follow. :)

oh post pics please :D I only know a little bit myself, basic knit & purl. Know a little bit more with crochet, but both are hard to keep up with when you make different projects, I always forget lol

Also, I noticed people talking about crafty stuff. I crochet and I'm also starting to get into embroidery! For crocheting, I have a bunch of yarn and a couple of scarves that I've made over the past few years. I'm not quite sure what to do with the embroidery though. I made like a rose the the other week based off a photo I took, but I'm not sure what to try next.

I went to look at the team chat board one last time, and I saw this place was made. Awesome. I will definitely pop in when I am on. I don't want that warm loving feeling to go away. lol A place where you belong is always nice. <3

My knitting goal is to make a geek blanket for myself. I've found some Doctor Who squares patterns that I'll incorporate, once I get the hang of it again. You know the phrase, "Eyes bigger than your stomach"? I'm like that, only with craft projects. No no, can't start small, I wanna go big, right now! Which would explain why I have so many unfinished craft projects. :D

I don't knit or weave though I have dabbled in crochet once before. Didn't get far but it was very relaxing. For the most part I tend to enjoy making digital graphics. Planning to do more DIY things this year in general and learning how to do a bit of calligraphy.

Any other types of graphic artists or calligraphy lovers here?

I am quilting and stitching. Whenever I have the time to and I am doing costuumes for the kids myself (for Karneval)

I /love/ calligraphy and really any kind of typography work. I completely suck at calligraphy but I love admiring it and envying the skill.

same here, which is why I wanted to start learning how to do my own. I admire those who can swiftly make pretty words. Shall be interesting to see how it goes once I finally have the courage to get started.

I take it you've tried calligraphy in the past? Did you try it the traditional way or brush pen? I'll be attempting my hand at the brush pen method before attempting the traditional method.
