I dont know how the hell I did it, but I somehow set some oil on the stove on fire D:

It happened in the length of time to take a quick bathroom break.

Saw the fire, turned off the heat, found something to cover it with to see if that worked. Since it was a cookie sheet (we really dont have tops for the pots and pans we have) it didnt turn out so well. Got a oven mitt, and took the thing outside.

THAT took a while since I had animals I had to nearly kick out of my way, and the screen door kept slamming shut on me.

THANKFULLY nothing caught fire after that (save for a small spot on screen door, which went out). Got a neighbor to see if she could help. Had to take off my shirt to let my neighbor use it to move the pot to the parking lot (Thank GOD I had a bra on, and it was dark).

Two neighbors tried to put water on it (which even I know you NEVER DO). Then one of the 'water neighbors' found a fire extinguisher and tried to use it...DIdnt work. The next one did though.

Noone was hurt (me or animals), and the other things ruined were the pot and cookie sheet.

Same, I had some things on my WL that I went ahead and bought, and then of course this new backdrop when the monthly collection came out because I just had to have it. But no more spending for me for a while anymore, I need to get back up to where I was before at least.

Yeah, I guess they wouldn't have much reason to hire any new admins unless a current one leaves. But being a mod would still be a nice way to continue to help out, since you're around here so often anyway.

On no! Well it seems the situation turned out pretty good, all things considered. Glad no one was hurt and there wasn't too much damage. If it ever happens again and trying to cover it doesn't work, put baking soda on it if you have any.

Yeah they only hire when someone leaves or they're looking to expand (which I doubt happens often in either case) I'd love to do it if the opportunity arises.

I got the miasma both times, though the second one a friend wanted and she gave me 500 tokens or it. not the profit I wanted but I'll always help out a friend.

I applied to S&I and Advertising as a backup. S&I is heavily preferred by me and I'm a bit sad that battle and feedback aren't getting more mods, but I'd be happy with S&I. though if they wanted they could put me as a mod of all of the forums (besides the avatar ones, I don't go there!) and I'd be able to do it easily haha. maybe I'm underestimating things, but as it is already I read a majority of the threads.

That's really nice :) Tokens are always useful since you can use them to snag potions and make quite a lot of sp off of those.

You'd be great in S&I. You know how the site works and which suggestions have been denied or discussed before (or at least most of them!).

Agreed. It would be great if a lot of them could be consolidated since people suggest very similar things often. Plus I think you have an idea of which ideas would actually benefit the site, and the staff rarely have a chance to dig through them all.

I have my ideas, but I'm not sure how they line up with staff's ideas xD some things seem overly complicated for the minimal benefit they'd bring.

I like most of your ideas thus far :) A minimal benefit if it benefits everyone would probably be welcome and would probably be met with a lot of love from the users. With all the 502/504 errors/lag lately, anything that helps the site from the users' perspective is a good thing for morale.

When they hire UAs they do hire from the pool of minis, and I just noticed a UA left so they will probably hire one of the older minis, but I'll need experience first before I'd ever get hired as a UA. If they ever had an apprentice item admin position open up I'd love to do that though :)

If the amount of work that is needed to implement it is too much though and everyone only kinda slightly benefits from it, the idea is better left undone so something more important can be done instead. 502/504/ are contiually being looked into but they're having a hard time pinpointing what exactly is the problem. It has somehing to do with aws being a bit different than rackspace and their settings are not optimal

Yeah whoever gets picked will probably be pretty busy right away, going through all those old things and cleaning everything up. I guess that's what happens when there isn't a mod for the forum for too long.

That's true , makes sense to get some new minimods in before picking a veteran one to advance a step. Still, if you're still that active around the site come the next time, I think you'd have one heck of a chance. =) Either way, just getting to clean up the forums a bit would be awesome.
