Good morning!

Keeping fingers crossed for you vs the test.

Intergalactic Pizzeria! Pizzeria Intergalactic! (With apologies to the Beastie Boys)

So glad we were granted our Pizza Van wishes.

To be fair, I was thinking they might have done the "fruit bowl" of the foods that was on the food hunt game. But there were lots of nice items.

Maybe Alegarten will provide some more food collection opportunities.

I wonder how many tix the same pool of winners spend. feels like lottery needs to do timebans to drawing winners to keep things fair. (maybe still let them buy them for drills but have a warning that their drawing won't count.) I've seen people win on back-to-back days. What is BHH?

No idea how it works, to be honest. But I guess it's the same as any other lottery - technically the same people can win over and over. It's just random chance.

BHH= Blackheart Hollow

Very low restock, and if you check too many times you get a short 'ban'.

Good morning everyone!

I believe I'll do good. We have 3 hours for the test and it's identifying rocks and minerals. It's not easy, but I have a good grasp on it :)

Slow pirate-Carl day, but few wishlist things: :)

Well done on your stash too!

Very best of luck for that then. Quietly confident is the way to be. Work shift and some baby sitting coming up, back to the Barbie dolls. Or possibly Lego!

You're welcome.

All kicking off soon, but I have had a lot of practice! ;)

Well, it's September and I have just been asked by family to look into some local places for Christmas party meal.

I feel so unseasonal.

It is about that time to start getting ready for all the chirstmas parties coming up. Gotta book early I guess. I only go to one and that's for my husband's work.

Well there is this one from the old Steele plot

Which I guess is the headdress she had in that temple.

Then there's this

Which matches what she was wearing this time, seen here.

Just different styles I guess because the lands and cultures were different, but I guess Butterface and the Bhakoru connection is the same.

That's what confused me. All I know is that there's desert, Bhakoru, pretty things, puzzles and items I missed, and something involving a plot and Butterface and I have no context as to how it fits together with this recent plot or what's different.

Mostly because I'm pretty sure there's a Butterface item from the old Steele plot which immediately made me think there was a connection but now you're saying you're talking about a different headdress, so I'm extra doubly confused because it's like, same channel different frequency somehow.

shrug

I kinda wish there was a place to go on site where we could read up on old plot synopsis..es. I like that there's an attempt at continuity but it's tougher to appreciate if you weren't actually there. c:

I wasn't really around for the old plot either, but from what I understand it seems to be the same Butterface images from both temples. And they both have the Bhakoru. Some of the decoration details are a bit different because the first temple was done in the Saheric style and this one is done in the Omen Islands style.

There's a clear connection, but I'm still not sure if the old civilizations were in contact with one another or if they each encountered the Bhakoru and Butterface deity thing individually in their own areas of Subeta.

I do agree with having a place to go back and read about the old events though. I know we already have illustrated story forms of a couple, but not all of them.

pops back in Doesn't feel festive enough to be thinking of such things!

Oh, work Xmas parties can either be great things or highly embarrassing. Or both - where my other half works, there are 'older' folks (not necessarily old but prefer dining and talking) and the 'youth' crowd (not all necessarily young, but like to drink like they were...).
xD

I believe the best one was where one of the 'youth' section vanished into a hedge whilst waiting with the group for a taxi. He'd gone to sleep...

One cute HA there!

I really like the old and new plot cross-over, it's like the people who settled in each place were once together, then lost contact with each other and there became variations of the same old story/myths in their distant past...

off again

Yeah, or maybe something happened in the past that destroyed the old civilizations. We don't really know how old they are, they could be even older than the Shinwa and Merana thing.

And then there's the Bhakoru. They went almost extinct until the crystals were rediscovered during the previous plot.

Yeah, a very ancient civilisation could be the precursor to all this... As our Sea-witch is water based, we need a plot to the depths of the Subetan oceans chasing after her havoc, and discover some washed-away ruins... And/or a massive sandstorm in the Sacred lands to reveal more clues & crystalline magical things there.

This stuff writes itself - if you're not bothered about plot holes! xD

Ooooh, a forgotten underwater civilization would be cool! As far as the Sacred Lands, there is that lighter sand half of the continent that still doesn't really have anything on the map.

But if we're talking about forgotten civilizations, I think Shadowglen may be a good contender as well. It's close to that side of the map, so it's feasible that they may have had contact with the Sacred Lands and Omen Islands people long ago. And there seems to be a large portion of forested area that has yet to be uncovered and explored.

Although Shadowglen was already involved in the discovery of Shengui Guo recently. I wonder if anyone there knows anything about the Bhakoru though? They were hidden for such a long time.

There's always time for Subeta's own version of Atlantis!

For me personally, I always felt Shadowglen should delve more into its underground areas. Down with those maggots! xD

However, you're right, there's a whole tree lined tunnel leading somewhere and a forest we could be getting lost lore from.
Trees can also be ancient things.

It's very possible that some of the older residents of Shengui Guo may have memories, or perhaps traditional stories about the Bhakoru/older Subetan civilisations.

Maybe that's where Merana wandered off to? ;)

But yeah, I'd like to have some more underground stuff. Or learn more about the old stories revolving around Shadowglen stuff before zombies became a thing. Since Jaxon's a ghost and apparently a rather old one too, maybe we can learn a bit about that through him? I dunno.

I would like to learn more about Shengui Guo stuff too in the future ~

keeps checking behind her You never know where Merana could pop up next!

The Subetapedia for Shadowglen is full of stuff I want to see more of:

Quote
in turn took its name from a corruption of the Tebh word skedhu, "looking glass".

Ghost passing through the veils reference? Definitely up for more ghost lore/plots.

Quote
Additionally, the creatures that call the dense, dark woodlands home are often mutated by magic, becoming unfathomable eldritch monstrosities. The woods of Shadowglen are featured prominently in popular fiction, as well as the work of folklorists and cryptozoologists.

Where do I start?!

Quote
Tehb is considered to be the smallest of all Subetan ethnic groups, and as a result much of their traditional culture has been lost.

Lost culture? Hey, if we can free a Sea-Witch, we can dig up some lost culture, surely!
Plus it states Elwood comes under Tehb heritage. More WOOD for all!

I get the feeling the elder things of Shengui Guo move at a more... Zen like pace than the things skittering about in the Shadowglen forests.
