It's actually rather common in cooking, it's the best way to dye food black. It's wonderful for a black risotto or to make black pastas, it also looks fantastic in the plate.

yoghurt can help too if you like the taste of it. Something about probiotics helps allergies. I'm not a yoghurt person, but it definitely seems to help my mom

I always see squid ink pasta in Italian restaurants. What does it taste like? I feel like it would have a weird taste so I've been too afraid to try it haha

Give it a try! There's a little "sea" taste, but it's very light, quite nice to me...

considering most of the pastas seem to be seafood based anyway, I doubt I'll really notice it. I'll have to give it a try next time I have the option.

the only "pizza" dessert I've ever been a fan of is an old Pampered Chef recipe. It's got a sugar cookie base, a whipped peanut butter spread, and it's topped with apples, caramel, and cinnamon. I don't really think of it as pizza though. It's really just apples and peanut butter, which is one of my favorite combos :)

Got to be honest the only black foodstuff I have had was cakes with icing and they were food dyes, rather than the ink. Plus the quantity of sugar helped!
I guess it's a useful natural dye, though!

You may have a good theory there, as the 2 people who shared it were... not so well! Or maybe that was too much whipped cream. I have seen pizza dough used as an upper crust for pies too, not tried that one myself.

I have used plain yoghurts in cooking sauces, but I bet cooking kills off the useful bits! Have to see if there's any that appeal to me.

Black food tends to be weird anyway... but it does make for a dramatic look on the plate.

It's good in smoothies with frozen berries and stuff because it makes it thicker and more filling. That's how my mom uses it anyway, and it taste pretty good. My sister just eats it with a little bit of granola, but the tanginess is kind of off-putting for me like that because it's really not disguised at all.
