I'd make the argument that Sera and Dorian get along quite well. (: (I can't remember if I've already said, but I love your pet names~)

Purple Hawk? I have ti say I'm not that familiar with all the hawk characters. I sort of forgotDA 2 once I finished they play through.

The other three are my favourites as well.Dorian is soo hilarious. And Zevran was awesome. I have a mod that let's me get him as early as possible in the game. I do like Isabella and Fenris as well.

DA:I has great characters. They really took the critizism they got for DA2 and made a great game again x3

I do hope we'll get DA 4 eventually. I want to know how the world of Thedas will fare now.

It sounds like they plan on it, but it will be a long wait. I don't mind if they bring us something like Inq! ;)

As long as they don't let us hanging I can definitely wait years. I just hope it won't be like Golden Sun, where they did eventually make a thrid part that ended with a cliffhanger and there is no future for a 4th part in sight ^^"

Gonna over-explain as a refresher (: When you're playing DA2, your responses are coded one of three ways: red, blue, or purple. Red is the more violent/aggressive option, blue is more kind/benevolent, and purple is mostly sarcastic/joking. You can easily play as a blend of any, but I tend towards (and fell in love with) purple!Hawke. Because again, I have a type (sarcasm, inappropriately timed jokes, puns, pure cheese) XD

I totally forgot about the colours, so thanks for the refreshers. They tend to have awesome convos of that type tho... That'swhy Varric is as charming as he is :D Really, if he weren't so devoted to Bianca, I'd do my best to find a mod that makes him a romance option. DA is making me like dwarves - in most settings I don't find them interesting at all.

I feel like Inquisition had a bit of that Blue/Purple/Red with it's main 3 responses(the ones that don't have the mood icons); one being helpful/gentle/kind, one being humorous, and one being direct/aggressive.

It's so cool to play Inquisition after finally getting through both previous games, and seeing where it borrows stuff that worked, and where things are new. Inq for sure kept the stat tree and convo wheel from DA2.

That, and Varric's loyalty, are what forever sold me on him. He's wonderful and ridiculous, and one of my favorite creative decisions they made for DA2 was having him as such an unreliable narrator type. (: Of course, I am slightly biased towards that game -- unpolished and rushed though it may be, I still think that it's the best example of emotional depth and consequence-of-action of the three games. It loses in majority of the other categories due to the push to get the game out, but there's a backbone that I just WISH they would remaster and expand upon. (My favorite explanation as to why so much of it looks the same is that Varric wasn't being exceptionally descriptive about scenery and so Cassandra was imagining things as rather similar. Fantastic way to explain it away.)

Don't think I'm saying Origins or Inquisition are bad, though, because I'm not. I have a few minor bones to pick with Inquisition, but otherwise I love the way they expanded the maps and created an open world. And being able to jump is an extreme improvement. I'm emotionally attached to practically every facet of this series. XD

Also if they never give us a 4th game, I'll probably scream. Largely because my anticipation for seeing more of the north runs incredibly, incredibly high.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that put a spin on the reason why the game looked the way it did. I always thought of it as Varric being vague to protect Hawke. After all can't find someone if you don't know what an area actually looks like. I also always imagined that Varric kept Hawke safe not just because he didn't trust Cassandra or anyone else for that matter, or because he was just friends with Hawke but because deep down he had a love for Hawke, and yes I mean any kind of love. As you see that IF Hawke is the one that stays in the fade in Inquisition's one quest.

I'm hoping that they do a 4th game and that it will take place in Dorian's homeland. (I forgot how to spell it lol), and that MAYBE Dorian will make a camo as the person that meets the new lead character since he went back there to cover for his father, and to help try and change things. I would love that and can imagine so many stories that could come from that.

Oh I like that too! I like that a lot! Varric absolutely loves the hell out of Hawke, be it platonic or otherwise. They make it super clear in the way he acts/talks about Hawke. And yeah -- I've left Hawke in the Fade a couple of times, and interacting with Varric afterwards breaks my heart. Every. single. time. So I sincerely love the idea that Varric was deliberately vague in his storytelling to help shroud Hawke from Cassandra. Especially since we know he's willing to alter fact to fit his ends. (:

And I want Dorian to be an ally even if we don't get to actively interact with him much, and he needs safe and healthy and ideally he'd be happy, too. And I want to interact with Mae in a significant capacity. And I don't want to be put in any kind of superior position over the slaves in Tevinter. I want there to be an uprising. And I'd probably kill to get more Krem and Fenris -- even if I don't particularly want either of them setting foot anywhere near that morally bankrupt pit of a country ever again. I want more non-demonized Qunari, too. I want SO MANY THINGS from this game. But I'd also prefer they make me wait forever for a quality game, than shorten the wait and push out something that doesn't live up to its potential.

Just. so many things.

YES! I would wait many years for a damn good game (including graphics) then something that was rushed. I was very let down by Dragon Age 2 because of the rush they did which is very clear in the game. Reason my mind tried to fix it with a reason behind the 'bad flashbacks'. Part of me once had a story idea of Varric with Hawke, Fenris ending up with Khrem and Dorian of course with either Cullen or my Inquisitor (or both ;) ).

DA2 will always, always have a special place in my heart, but it also hits me in the sads because there's so much unrealized potential. The backbone of that game is fantastic, and the ambitions it had were admirable and could have been so, so great. But they were forced into a rush job, and the result is a graphically lackluster, buggy game that could have been so much better.

I would love to see Fenris and Dorian interact, provided that either a) Dorian has changed his "slavery is better than homelessness" tune and understands better that that particular staple of Tevinter culture is awful, or b) Fenris is exactly as Fenris is, and refuses to take his placating bullshit (which, honestly, is exactly what it sounds like when you're first chatting with Dorian in Haven). I literally have no idea if Dorian's views on that particular subject have changed in any way by the end of Inquisition canon. I like to believe they have.

also I wish we weren't so entirely locked out of getting to have further positive interactions with Anders, you know? And where tf is Merrill???

But I think there's a wealth of potential with Fenris, Krem, and Dorian for interesting interactions, considering they're all indicative of a different class in their home country, and each have been persecuted in a different way, as well. I would not complain at all about getting to see everybody interacting again, even if I definitely want a completely new protag for DA4. Part of what makes it exciting is getting to see old characters you already love interacting with new characters you're meeting and getting to know for the first time. I also totally would not complain about a callback (or several) to the Inquisitor. OR TO THE WARDEN (coughs)

Sorry I haven't been around lovely people! ;w; I've missed chatting with all of you so much, but I'm super busy with work... I'm working 53 hours this week between my two jobs. So, I'm trying to chat when I can, but finding time to do much other than eat/sleep when I'm not working is hard. XD

I'm hoping we get some news on the Dragon Age series after Mass Effect Andromeda comes out. c: My bet is that we'll start hearing something next year about a new DA game in development. <3

I did not get any DA time in b/c I only just got home at 11pm, buuuut there was a huge multi-city powerout for a few hours so my class got canceled and for a while I was panicking. I had a dinner planned with my friends which was almost canceled due to the blackout but most of us hung out and played a card game and chatted, and the power came back in time for my dinner! So I got extra hangout time! And also b/c of the class being canceled I have no homework this weekend which means DA time eventually!!
