I'd love it if we would be able to make certain categories private/invisible to other users. I want to be able to create a category for all of my pets to keep track of who I'm giving what to since their treasure chests are what I focus on the most, but at the same time I can't, because I know what it's like opening up a user's wishlist and being swamped with categories. It's really overwhelming, and I rarely trade with people whose wishlists are huge like that because of the effort of going through them. If we were able to have the option of making certain ones private, or even "gallery" style categories, that would be great. Or, if that's too difficult, we could have the option of being able to add a note to certain items in the wishlist so we can keep track of why we want them.

I like the idea of having private WL categories and also being able to add notes to your WL. It would make it so much easier to keep track of things, sometimes I forget why I put something on my WL or something like that.

I could also see this being useful for people who have some pretty expensive items on their WLs and would rather not have someone else get it for them.

I would like to make a wishlist of ... well wish lists but for myself only.. private would be very nice!

This would be great. I have a WL category for items I don't want to keep, but track for other reasons. It'd be nice to keep it private. Friends only would be good too.

I don't really mind one way or another but in the meantime you can just add (Do not buy) or something to your categories' names, I've seen people use that before

I definitely support this idea. I have a wishlist much like the one you described to help keep it organized in my mind. I've even labeled it as "things to buy later" because I'd rather buy the stuff myself, especially the things that are on the pricey side. I would definitely make use of a private wish list. I like the idea of a "friends only" option as well. I don't know how much I would use it but I can see where it would be useful to some people.

I like this idea quite a bit. I have a few wishlists myself that I wouldn't mind making private. The friends only option could be pretty useful too, especially around Lumi.

YES PLEASE you have no idea how much I want this to be a thing. I have so many things on my wls for reference or because I want to keep my eyes out because it's on a friend's wl, and I'd absolutely love it if I could keep those to myself. I also thought about making categories for like potential gifts for friends, or things I'd like to give out as anon gifts, but for obvious reasons I can't do that without at the very least having to come up with some name that I think is inconspicuous enough and I'd love love love for them to be hidden to others. Also the notes thing, omg yes. Please.

I support this idea SO much! Being able to keep private wishlists for reference (whether for myself, my pets, or gift ideas for friends, etc) would come in so handy.

God, yes, please. I have a WL for all of my pets and they're all self-reference. I don't want anyone else to actually see them, just me. I support this x a million.

I have a wishlist of food I need to feed my gourmand. A lot of it is pretty common stuff or event food that I do have already, just tied up in my hoard already. It is labeled in block letters NOT BUYING and I still often get people visiting and sending me stuff from there. Like thanks but I actually got this one under control

Basically it doesn't matter what you label something. Support for private wishlists.

Well I don't not-support the suggestion, I'm just saying you can try asking people not to buy in the meantime. It sucks that they still do anyway though, I always ignore the "Do not buy" categories :c

Wow I love this. The majority of my WL is just a checklist for myself like "Hey this is in event shop or restockable buy later" or all the collection items and things for TCs. And like, I collect doubles of everything for my hoard, so I keep things WLed even if I have them so I can buy myself another and people send them to me and I'm like noooooooooooo why esp things like stickers getting double sticked stahp. I literally have 30+ categories and most are just for me to keep track of what I need to buy myself eventually, not what I need to show people when I go to buying threads. It's a very organized mess.

I'd love this option! I just don't really like having stuff I'm just keeping track of on my lists because I don't necessarily want them, but rather need them for achievements/etc. Being able to have private lists would be so helpful!

This would be good for a lot of stuff -- expensive stuff you don't want to be gifted, TC items, achievements, people who keep lists of CWs they already own, etc -- so I think it's a great idea.

I really support this idea! The "do not buy" or "already have these!" do not work, I got 3 CWs this christmas that I already had, probably because people only used the "search" function and didn't bother to check what category the item was in facepalm
