Pleased to meet you!! :D I cook at home for the most part too but I'm thankful for the local restaurants that do offer veg options. Sorry to hear about your trouble with low iron! Dark leafy greens like spinach, kale and collards are a great source of iron and sautéed with nutritional yeast, absolutely delicious! Plenty of other sources too (lentils, grains, etc) but I'm a little biased to super greens. XD

I'm a vegetarian due to that I'm allergic to all forms of meat, fish and shellfish. I've been like this for over six years. I really don't eat dairy or drink milk that often so, I guess I should go vegan. My sister-in-law has this awesome 28 day plan of getting onto a vegan diet and loose weight. I'm thinking of trying it since I want to look good for the convention that I'm attending this summer. ^_^

That's awesome! I've found the best way to loose weight is to focus on whole foods - lots of dark leafy greens in particular! That's what helped me anyway. Best of luck and have fun at the convention! I went to Otakon (anime con) once years ago and it was the time of my life. :D

PS: Love your signature. Yay Loki! XD

To be honest, I really want to go vegan, but I'm having a hard time. I don't particularly care for dairy or meat, except for on occasion. However, I struggle, because I'm never even sure what my week of groceries should look like. I'm aware there's pinterest, websites, etc, but then I end up overwhelmed by the overload of info. Still, I don't know where to start. It would be beneficial for my health if I did go vegan, so I'm hoping I can someday find out how to transition. I was thinking about searching for a mentor or something, but I feel really silly, in doing such. >-<

It is so easy these days to be vegan as more and more places are catering. Are you in the UK? I have loads of recipes I could share with you, easy ones too :) I would happily help you transition, just PM me :)

There are lots of groups on FB too that help with recipes, supermarket finds, local meetups and general support.
