I'm a returning user after rediscovering this site (it's been about 3 years). I'm very excited to get back into gameplay. However, I've realized that my pet has had a name change to something I greatly, greatly dislike: Twizzle_771. I guess the name I gave it previously was taken due to my inactivity. That's fine and acceptable, as I've often been peeved on other sites when a great name was taken, only to find that the owner hadn't logged in for years.

Anyways, I've done some digging around and it seems that the only way to get a name change is to pay for it (unless there is a method I can use that doesn't require $$$ but I can't seem to find any). While I understand this for current players, I don't think this is a very fair system for returning members who have come back to the site. I don't want to be stuck with this guy's current name and I don't want to get rid of him either, as he has a special place in my heart being my first pet. It's just very frustrating to come back to the game only to find that I can't change this.

I hope the subeta team can consider at least a free name change option for those who have had their pet's names taken from them.

You do get a free name change if you've lost your pet's name to inactivity. I found a board about it from last March and said

What do you want to rename your pet to? Keep in mind, this will cost 0 Cash Shop Credits.

gj for actually being mature about the situation, compared to a lot of people who went HOW DARE THEY GIVE PEOPLE THE NAMES I HAVE STALKED AND KEPT ON MY ACCOUNT BY LOGGING TWICE A YEAR FOR SIX YEARS.
