In the past ones you had a choice of a team, and then you would restock items from the main shops for that team. You earned your team points based on the rarity of what you restocked, like higher rarities gave you more points.

There were also side things you could do if you weren't good at restocking, like battling, or I think playing games one time. It's been a while, so I forgot~
