He's been over for a couple of visits, usually not longer than a half hour, but yeah. At the very least, it seems she understands he won't be under our roof again. If she wants to throw away her life and get her own place with him, that's her choice.

I don't know how I feel about work anymore. That place pisses me off so much. They took the kitchen away from me. But man, when we have huge events going on, huge sales, or I don't know... Memorial Day Weekend? Mother's Day? Graduation? I'm suddenly the primary cook again because I'm the only one who can keep on top of things.

Much to my dismay, yes. Some times they have me close until 10pm. Sometimes they have me open the salad case. Sometimes they have me as the Person In Charge (so I do the ordering, markdowns, check out dates, stock the shelves, etc.). It just varies. They basically shove me in whatever role needs filled for the day.

oh yea, they have you as the person who does whatever is empty does she bother you much, still?

Honestly? She only seems to have a raging hate boner for me when I'm in kitchen. Otherwise? She's pretty civil. Asks me what my plan is for the day, and that's usually the end of it.

Sometimes I'm glad for it. I think what kills me about it most is that I've got so much time invested in that kitchen. I had things running so smoothly. The men from Hobard (the repair company portion of Kroger that fixes our equipment) put in a letter of recommendation for me to be the person who went from store to store and taught people how to use the equipment. The guy who does the Deli audits says my logs are the best he's ever seen; they're always filled out properly and organized. I have customers who come in and tell me they won't buy chicken unless I make it. And in a matter of three months, I've seen all of that destroyed, because the two people who are now the primary workers just don't care.

yea, that happens at least everyone is rooting for you (couldn't find a better word, LOL)

I don't know that it would be hard to find a better place, but to find a better place where I got my hours & rate of pay, or less hours & better pay so evens out.... that would be very hard. :<

yea, i kinda meant with pay and hours. sometimes it doesn't hurt to look around.. also sometimes is doesn't take long to get upgraded i worked for a pet store back home for less then a year and was made an assistant manager of a new store they were opening. just didn't work cause the manager didn't like me and he was friends with the guy who planned it all. they're all gone now that my old manager is now the regional manager.
