I love the tree feature. This is the first year where I've personally had any trouble with it - the last few years it's been a very happy addition to my Christmas day.
I like decorating them. I like seeing them on the forums. I like that they show the first 12 presents under your tree, so empty trees get spotted and almost everyone gets a little pile of gifts to open (big improvement from stockings where you couldn't tell if someone had 0 or 100 items). I like being able to give gifts throughout the month because I'm busy close to xmas. I like being able to open them on xmas day itself and recieve everything in a heap.
If they worked as they are designed to, I think they're the perfect way to give Christmas gifts. I think using the gift centre would be much more time consuming for giving, much more time consuming for opening, and put a dampner on a lot of the random generosity that the public trees facilitate.
So, yes, if it's at all possible, I just want the feature fixed, tested, and supported so it runs smoothly.

<p>Gift Center is free for a certain amount of time in December or a certain number of gifts through the Gift Center are free each day during December. The only issue I foresee with this is that Major Drills asks for use of the Gift Center.</p>

How about we leave the date the same... leave the features alone... and staff just spends some time during the next 11 months and 3 weeks to quadruple check the coding so it works as it should?
What Jessyta said. There's no need to change how anything works. Things just need to be really checked for next year. Nothing more.
Perhaps they should just get rid of everything, because at some point something will Glitch or make someone sad, mad or just dang cranky :P Mysterious Melody should be the first thing gone in my opinion as this is a pointless idea where everyone for as long as it has been around has whined about what they are getting. Then perhaps staff will have time to fix the few things that are good around here. I love the trees and think it just needs some work. Maybe opening Jan 1st would be a better idea, let's everyone celebrate in their own way the days of December, and Subeta staff too.
I was about to chime in myself but after reading most of the posts I have to say nailed most of it on the head.
IF the date does move, I do like the point a few brought up for the people who still work closer to the holiday and the ones still finishing up school. Try to include everyone as much as possible.
