Thanks for the update, it really helps to know what's happening! We really appreciate all the hard work you put in for us on this site so everything runs smoothly. Please don't feel like you have to run yourself ragged working on a fix for this bug. It certainly is a tricky situation, but I have full confidence that everything will get sorted out eventually (even if a little data is lost). Thank you again for trying to fix this situation.

Umm yeahh i'm one of those who did most of my gifting 20-25 Dec.during this period too. Is the Gifts Given page going to stay up and will we have access to it somehow?I gifted 118 people,hard to remember all that i gave....

grelca, I won't ping you to another post.. just sending hugs and thanks for the update! Mistakes happen.. we all have "uh oh" moments. It is a rare game the staff will admit problems and mistakes. That is one thing I have always loved about subeta. All the staff seems "human" if you know what I mean. Happy holidays to you and do what you can that is all that is asked. :)

Hmmm well... I did a lot of my gifting after the 20th as well. Since a lot of it was random there will be a lot of people in that will be getting MKB's and not know who they were from. I hit a lot of trees with those as I buy and save them up all year long specifically for this reason. Ditto scratchcards. The best I could do was let people know that I did gift them and sorry you won't know who gave you what. I just thank God that the gifts didn't disappear as well as the names of who gave them. I'd hate to have wasted all of that SP and csc.

Honestly, if the names are sacrificed for the sake of the trees being fixed, I think most people would agree that it's nothing to cry over.

Seriously, echoing what a lot of people said, please don't kick yourself over what is a very easy mistake to make. Not taking your laptop is also completely understandable since that would essentially be bringing your work with you on your vacation.

Oh my, I'm SO SORRY this happened in the first place! Please don't overwork yourself. 😧 I was surprised and a bit disappointed when the glitch first appeared, but I don't mind as much since I didn't get stocking events. ☺ I think I gave gifts during the 12/21 to 12/25 timeline, but I personally don't mind that people won't know who the gifts were from. What your fellow Subeta Team members did in the face of this glitch was so thoughtful I didn't mind so much about the glitch. 😄 I'm sure most users feel the same way; we were just concerned about the lack of updates. 😉

I'm going to ask because I can't see all the comments after the Staff post but, all the presents I get after the 20th will be ANON, but they'll still be given to the person? I mean it sucks they'll be ANON but just want to make sure whoever I gifted gets everything I sent, that's all. I am confused how it all went wrong, though I obv get things happen that can't be helped. And I'm sure everyone is grateful and appreciative of the extra time being put into this, but I also think the frustration among the users is understandable, too. :/ I feel for both sides <3

we all realize you and everyone else running Subeta are human beings, and quite frankly it was selfish for some users on this site to be throwing a fit over the whole problem. These are bits of data and they mean nothing in the grand scheme of things. If every last gift were to be wiped out with no way of getting sent, then too bad. Stuff happens. Nobody's going to suffer any more than a minor disappointment. The really important thing here is the human beings running the site who never meant for this to happen and are just now suffering a huge level of stress over a small mistake. They'll do their best, and I trust that, so I just hope that the living breathing people in charge aren't exhausting themselves over this. Like a lot of the posts on this thread are now saying, we care more about actual people than some virtual gifts. Get some rest, grelca, and that goes for anyone else working on the problem as well.

thank you so much for the update!! i was so disheartened because i LITERALLY gifted last minute, exclusively on the 23rd & the morning of the 24th; and it was gonna be a bummer for ALL my gifts to be anon but i'm so glad i misunderstood that and that's not the case. /lays face down in dirt

I know a lot of people have been complaining but honestly, its pixels. Don't not take care of yourself because it won't help any situation

- nobody can blame you for this. You went to be with family on Christmas and the wrong script went off. It's human error and it could've happened to any one of us. No worries! Besides, for many out there, Christmas doesn't concretely end at 11:59pm on the 25th. I still celebrate Serbian Orthodox Christmas which happens on Jan 7th. That's just me though.
