avatar hovers over usernames in friends tab list

Ok, I am getting a bit frustrated with the avatar hovers over the usernames in the friends drop down list under the personal tab. When I try to comment, the mouse grabs the avatar hover and prevents me from grabbing the comment link and closes up the tabs. So I have to open the tabs again and QUICKLY grab the comment link next to the username I'm trying to converse with. Again, this is really frustrating. Can you remove the avatar hovers from the friend drop down tab? I don't think it's necessary to have it there when you can click on their name and see the avatar on the profile.
