I don't know if its been discussed or not, but Id love to trade in one type of points for another. For instance, I have a tone of quest points but no longer want anything from the quest shops. Id love to trade them in for a forum shop or somethings else.

You can do this via the Advertising forum.

I don't support an official exchange or anything though just because the rates at which different kinds of points go out are so different, so things wouldn't really be "fair" as a 1:1 trade. So either people wouldn't use it anyway, or people could go and get a ton of like Carnival Tickets or something else easy and trade them in for harder-to-get points, that are harder to get for a reason.

Certain types of items/currencies are more rare for lots of reasons. It wouldn't work well to just be like well I don't need these 5,000 QPs so I'll buy 30 of everything in the forum shop.

Then someone will come along with the argument that they could make a conversion ratio, and then we're getting into why though. It's just too much of a hassle. If you have too many of one currency and you literally have no use for it, why not buy items and toss them into the Donation Center? Send them out to random people you see on the forums? Sell them? And on the flip side, if you don't have enough of another currency, work for it. Or quest and play games and stuff and buy those items from the people who have too many of them!

I wouldn't want a 1:1 ratio from currency to currency either.

But darn it, I can't get enough of the forum tickets to buy what I want (unless I BUY the tickets har har) but I sure have a ton of quest points. lol

I suppose its not very feasible, but would be very nice...even if I could transfer the points to someone else would be fun. But I suppose there would be a lot of arguing over that as well ^_^*

I wish I could swap quest points for forum points, lol. But yeah, it's never going to happen.

I'm not too keen of this idea. You can trade points with users on other boards. But certain points are very easy to pick up and hoard (quest ones for example) whereas others are seasonal, or are harder to obtain (forum points)

I thought the title meant to add more currencies for trading purposes regarding Trades, ex:as we did with adding odd/uneven amounts of csc...but that's not what this is about... Unfortunately I do not support the original idea :/

I agree with the idea of having the option to trade any amount of points for another amount of points, but how they have it set up, you can usually convert your points to some sort of ticket to be able to trade for something else. I guess all you could do is advertise that you have points to spend and someone who wants an item from let's say the quest shop, would have to give you what you want in exchange for the item.

And have a set static rate of exchange? No thanks.

It's easy enough to do this in practice already.
