Right now the search in the Item Directory only works if you put in the exact name of an item. I feel like this makes it pretty useless really, it's only good if there is a specific item you want the info for.

I think it would be nice if we could at least have something where if you search for a word or words, it will show you all of the items that have that in the name. Maybe also a feature to search by item type or use.

it is a pretty much useless feature. subetalodge has a far superior item search, so unless subeta can match or surpass that, idk that there's much purpose in updating it.

I agree, and I use subetalodge as well. I just feel like it's kind of silly to have to rely more on a fan site when the actual site has its own item directory but the search function is really bad.

At least with Neopets the Jellyneo item directory makes sense because Neo doesn't have its own on-site to begin with. Here Subeta has an item directory, but you can't do much with it unless you know specifically what you're looking for.

that's what i'm saying, either create an official on-site equivalent to sl's system, or don't bother because otherwise people will still have to rely on sl for the best results.

True. I know they have other aspects of the site that are more important to be working on anyway, this was only meant to be a suggestions of something they could consider doing. If not then it isn't such a big deal, because as you've pointed out we still have subetalodge.

i mean, i do agree that we shouldn't have to rely on a fansite for something like this and it would be nice to have on-site. but, i guess it's not really necessary because, well, we have sl.

I would really like some improved search functionality. Item search doesn't always bring up the item I'm looking for even if I know most of its name, and Account Search has a limited number of items that it will provide.

I hate this argument of "oh, rely on a third party site" because as we saw earlier this year, third party sites are run entirely from user-funded sources and what happens when the users decide not to continue a site, or can't pay for it?

I see zero reason why any of what SL does/has can't also be included on the actual site.

I'm all for any improvements to the Item Directory, and I have always found the search function particularly lacking. Subeta really should be aiming to bring the ID up to Subeta Lodge's standards, instead of letting what could be a really useful feature just rot because it already exists off site.

It would be great to use the search auto filling function like in the SS.

An advanced search: show rarity from x to y, show only x category items (food, wears..) etc.

Sort by rarity, by shop.

Is it possible to have a fixed sorting? like we have in the inventory? I like to sort by ID only but I need to change it every time I open the page..

Keywords, rarity, item type. By holiday and year would be awesome if possible (maybe not) like "morostide 2012".

Marlboro's idea of an advanced tiered search would be fantastic.

Indirectly related to improving the directory search, but if searching by rarity is a possibility, having a rarity cheat sheet somewhere would certainly be useful. Just a simple list with numbers, rarity names, and a quick description of what it means/where items of that rarity come from. I don't think we have such a thing already, and if we do, I don't know where it is.

Pretty much what and said. Being able to search for partial names, rarity, item type, those sorts of things.

I like 's idea for a rarity list as well, maybe there is one around somewhere but I can't recall ever seeing one.
