I hate not mailing things. I hope no one steals this. ;_;
I've been working on this character for a while, but I haven't found a name I really wanted for him. The story is about a British Templar knight named Richard who lived during the disastrous Children's crusade in 1212. You can read about that here to save me taking 500 years to explain it: [X] Anyway, Richard's company encounters them while on patrol and has a chance to force them to return to their homes. They don't, deciding that they have every right to follow their beliefs. Eventually, Richard hears talk of how many of the children were tricked into being sold into slavery, and feels personally responsible for the atrocity. He leaves the Templar Order, and spends years trying to track down the slavers to return as many of the children to their homes as he can. Only, the Knights Templar manage to hunt him down and he is made to stand trial for abandoning the Order. He's ultimately sentenced to death, after 10 years of using their resources to further his own ends, and his men testify against him - saying they never encountered Nicholas of Cologne. His last thoughts are to question his own beliefs, and if God was truly glorious and righteous, then why did he allow it to happen? Why did so many have to die? Who would save them now? ...etc. I should mention that all of this is entirely my own imagination, other than the children's crusade itself. This wasn't a real person.
I have art of him here: [X] (by)
I'm thinking probably an angelic montre or reborn legeica.
The writing style will probably be very similar to this: [X]
Some pets for examples: Luthe, Dovahkiin, Enlil, Alasdair, Pitty Pat
A couple more writing examples: Yaretzi, Julien, Haytham
Please ignore the rest of them in various states of brokenness and blank pages. Imageshack decided to be a jerk to me and most of the images I need to fix my layouts are stuck on my other computer with a dead hard drive and no back-ups, so I cleared their lookups for the time being. Probably gonna have to start over. Please kill me.
Haha, if you don't find a home for him, I do hope you keep him as a Thorin pet. :3
Something for you? ;)

- Oil Oil is by far one of my fav completed. I'd definitely be interested in Glory. ;u;
Glory. - Glory affirms the classic good vs evil struggle within ones self, literally. Who knows how long the voice has lurked inside him, or where it's origins start. All that is known is that Glory has red on his hands, and gallons of it. Crusades, holy missions, mercenary missions, all of them come and go as easily as blinking to Glory. His morality is nothing more than a monotone grey blur on the linear scale. The voice whispers things to him, asking how one life taken is any different from another life taken. After all these years, Glory has on more than one occasion listened to the voice. That, was his first mistake. The second being after that ignoring the voice completely, which has only made it angrier over the years. When things get angry.. they often get louder.
Name: Alister Braum Derion Pseudonym: Braum, Glory Alignment: Lawful Neutral Class: Paladin/Ranger Age: 166 Years Occupation: Knight/Hired Guard Gender: Male
Void Black Revolvers: Forged from the sword of the notorious clansmen, and shamelessly stolen off a corpse, Glory owns a pair of black handguns. They're standard, 6-shot weapons, and may still have a means to negative auras. Crossbow: This is Glory's go-to weapon while on Crossroads. Without his guns, this is his only means of defense. The weapon is of a modern design, and so it can load back without too much effort. It fires average crossbow bolts, of which Glory has several. The weapon also has an attachment that can hold up to six clipped-in bolts. Tomahawk: Taken from a tribe of warrior women, this weapon is enchanted, and where magic is active, this weapon will always return to the one who threw it. Even without magic, it's still a sharp axe and well balanced for throwing. Longsword: Glory' most prized weapon. It is sheathed most of the time, of which is bound in the finest leather Glory could afford. The sword has not seen combat in the longest of ages, however has taken enough lives to have earned a leave of absence. Other Gear:
Survival Knife: Though more tool than weapon, this knife has protected Glory on a few occasions. The blade is long enough to be deadly, and the blunt end is thick, so it can be used as a blunt, striking tool. The carved, wooden handle is rounded at the end, and has a compass embedded within that can sometimes function on other planes. Silken Bandolier: A gift from Moravelle the spider-woman, this ammo-belt is made of natural spider silk. It is very light and tough, and holds plenty of ammunition in the various pockets. The backside of it also functions as a holster for his rifle. Travel Pack: This is a backpack Glory often carries on missions. It serves little other purpose than to hold mission-specific items, some ammunition, and the occasional bit of loot he may pick up on his own. Ring of the Beast: An item obtained from a tribe of large warrior women. This enchanted, wooden ring grants Glory a benefit to his tracking abilities by enhancing his smell similarly to that of a beast. However, while active, Glory exudes one of the most hideous, wet dog/burning hair/ vomit and poo odors that one could imagine. This effect only applies when magic is active in the area. Personal Items:
The Letter: Whatever he is wearing, somewhere on his person Glory carries a folded up letter. His name is written on the front of it in neat, stylized writing. The contents are a mystery to all but a few.more info about glory
Weapons:
Gin" and "Tonic": A pair of ornate LeMat revolvers, these are Glory's pride and joy. Their names are carved into the grip of the gun, and though they show signs of wear, they are well taken care of for the most part. These guns can shoot nine .42 rounds each, and the secondary barrel is capable of firing a single shot of .36 16 gauge rounds.
Glory would become a Reborn Endeavor. His minion would be a sunset, because cliche as it is, Braum (glory) always chases the sun. The night brings silence, and silence is never alone.

glory is VERY tempting, may come back for 'em! for mee

i've always been fascinated by greek mythos, especially star/constellation lore, so Glory's character would be an amalgam of the two.
his name is Orion, and his story takes place in a world reminiscent of ancient Greece. there are thirteen warriors that are scattered across the lands, and they are responsible for leading the armies that defend their civilizations. Orion is one of these warriors.
like how Greek deities are associated with planets (ex. Ares and Mars), each warrior is associated with a constellation -- and each warrior's traits and style of battle reflect the dominant lore of the constellation they're tied to (i.e. Sagittarius is a centaur who hunts with poisoned arrows; Taurus is stubborn and rides a bull engulfed in flames into battle). Glory's ruling star is (you guessed it!) Orion.
once a warrior dies or loses his/her powers, a new one is born into the cycle to take the fallen's place. warriors can also be stripped of their powers by having their wings ripped out, which happens when they commit certain acts of treachery.
all thirteen warriors constantly vie for the ultimate position of honor, of which they are able to harness the power of the sun as it replaces their ruling constellation and becomes their ruling star. warriors that are able to use the sun as their source of power are rare.
Orion is one of the greatest hunters in Greek mythos and, as a constellation, is one of the most conspicuous patterns in the night sky. Glory/Orion, like his constellation and its associations, is beautiful and handsome and has somewhat of an ego going for him. he's bright (like, literally outshines those around him, what with his ego and how handsome he is), narcissistic (he places a lot of value in his power and believes that he'd be nothing without it) and strong -- probably the strongest of the current lineup of warriors. he's on the path to becoming the sun warrior, but gets too consumed on his path to glory that he ultimately falls to treachery and cruelty and has his powers (and wings) stripped from him. now an ordinary human in a foreign (and hostile) land and a hollow shell of who he once was, he pines desperately for the powers he once had and will do anything to get them back.

in any case, i do have more plans on how one of my existing characters (Dianthe) factors into his story, but this is already quite long so i'll cut it off here. if you're interested in where i'd go with it, i'd be happy to answer any questions you have!
thanks so much for the opportunity, and best of luck adopting out!
I'd absolutely love to apply for Jonquil, but I gotta dash off to work in a minute. If it's alright with you, I'll send you an application once I get back!
