Paddy sat and listened. Sure she'd seen pictures of some of those methods of transportation before, like trains, cars and motorbikes, and her uncle had a motorbike stored in his shed (although apparently it was something called a "non-runner", whatever that meant), but how did Muggles manage to make those aeroplanes stay up in the sky without using magic, and surely a boat would sink when it was put onto the water?
She'd found the train ride to Hogwarts pretty enjoyable; sitting at ground level and watching the countryside fly past, rather than being above it on a broomstick was quite a novelty.
