Miiiiind if I join in? :O hello ᶘ ᵒᴥᵒᶅ
well after that, you head to the capital city, to talk to the President of the world. when he finds out about what happened at the Moonbucks, and the only thing he takes out of all of this is: 'wait, you mean to tell me you went to moonbucks and you didn't bring me back a coffee? you should know better than to go to Moonbucks and not bring back something for everyone!'
ugh so tired today ><
not so happy with my current HA, so will probably change it up tonight. i just wanted to make a fun forest fairy type HA.
of course you can join on! :D we're just rambling on about random stuff! nice to have you here!

I think everyone just rambles on this part of the forum lol (^ิ艸^ิ)
where are you guys from? ^^
hahaha You didn't bring me back a coffee. XD That game sounds like a lot of fun.
I like you avatar, pretty wings and flowers.
Hello and welcome! Yeah, we just chat about random stuff. ^.^ I'm from the NE US, Massachusetts. Where we're having unseasonably warm weather right now. It feel like late spring outside. XD How about you?
warm?! in MA?! in November?! well I'll be lol. I'm from Philly but currently residing in Tokyo ^^
Shocking, I know. XD It's currently 72F and mostly sunny. I would much rather be outside right now than stuck in work. =/
must be nice though :) where do you work, if you don't mind me asking?
i'm from Scotland, so not near either of you :P it's just rainy here... it's pretty much always rainy though, so not unusual. also it's Guy Fawkes night here, so there are lots of fireworks going off... but you can't actually see any of them because it's so clouded over from the rain XD
yeah, coming back from anywhere with coffee is basically a sin :P dang i love coffee!

I work in an office, doing paperwork mostly. I don't want to say the name cuz I shouldn't be sneaking on here at work. XD But it's Friday, it's quiet and I have no motivation.
Also I've always wanted to visit Japan, what's it like? ^.^
That's too bad you can't see the fireworks. =/ Are you in for the night now?
hahaha sneaky wifey sneaking on during work XD i wish i could sneak on here when i'm working, but since we can't even have our phones on the floor, let alone have a spare second to look at them if we did have them, no internet at work for me. i could technically come on during my 10 minutes break, but i mainly use that to stuff some food into my face. plus i like to sit downstairs in the staff room, to get some peace from the customers, since they try and talk to me or ask me questions or yell at me when i stay upstairs on my breaks. and there is almost no signal down there. certainly can't connect to the wifi.
but yeah, that's me in for the night. good thing the doggie doesn't get upset by fireworks like the last dog did. he doesn't even seem to notice them going off. :P

Scotland! I have to say I love the Scottish accent :D though when I tried to watch Trainspotting it took me a while to get used to it haha. Have you seen it? I absolutely love it ^^ and your job sounds so busy! :O I know the service industry can be a pain. I've had the experience as well. needs lots of patience >.<
I see haha. I would think that kind of behavior is normal in the office, eh? xD
Japan is great! I've only been a few cities so far, have spent the majority of my time in Tokyo, and it's just a pretty exciting place to live :) I recommend it if you have an interest in Japan/Japanese culture ^^
trainspotting mostly just has the rougher glasgow accent in it. Chaosdawn will attest that i sound a bit more posh and better spoken than the folks in that movie. but then, there are so many regional accents! there are some gorgeous scottish accents though, personally i prefer the highlands and islands accents, they have a beautiful, rural lilt.
I work for a big coffee company. it has it's ups and downs. but i've been doing it 8 years now, so i can't be all that bad XD
i've wanted to visit japan too, i used to take japanese lessons, but sadly i don't have a head for languages and just couldn't manage it at all. as i said, i want to visit, but i'd be nervous not speaking the language and the fact that the cities are so big with so many people! scary!
[ToT=omiai] [egg=omiai] [tp=omiai]
ohh a coffee company :o do you get free coffee?? haha.
Yeah I imagine there are more elegant sounding accents than the ones in Trainspotting, haha xD
Yeah it gets crazy crowded in Tokyo, something most people can't stand. Japanese is reaallyy hard so don't worry! and it doesn't get any easier the more you study it, trust me -.- but if you're coming as a tourist, the language barrier shouldn't be too overwhelming :) have you been to other places?
yeah, i get up to 3 free coffees/other beverages when i'm on shift, the rest of the time it's 30% off. so it's good since i love coffee. i start most of my shifts with a 4 shot espresso. which was cost me a lot did i not get it for free :P
i actually found japanese easier to learn that french, which i did in school (forced to do) for about 7 years, and remember basically nothing. i think possibly because i was actually more interested in the language and culture, i took it in a little better. but the thing i found hardest to get my head around was the different methods for counting depending on the shape or type of object. that really threw me off XD
[ToT=omiai] [egg=omiai] [tp=omiai]
sweet. I like coffee but perhaps not at your level hahaha, I tease ^.^
Yeah, interest in the language definitely affects acquisition. That's why I always scoff when people say, "you should be learning Chinese instead of Japanese because it's more useful." just 'cause a language is useful shouldn't be the only reason you study xD plus it's impossible to become fluent unless you're interested in the culture
and don't worry about the counters, I'm in advanced and I still can't memorize them! lol
Sorry I can ramble on sometimes :p
very few people can handle coffee at the level i drink it XD it probably works out at maybe 7 shots of espresso a day, depending on whether i'm working or not.
totally agree with you on the language thing. i mean, i had to do french as i said, for 7 years at school. i could recall just about enough to get by, but i was really awful at it. i get that they wanted all the kids to have a language since it can be useful. but the only choices were french or german, and i had no interest in either. and no intention of using either. so it just put me under undue stress for years, learning a language i was really struggling with!
and i ramble all the time, don't worry at all XD that's they whole point in having this topic is to ramble about random crap XD
[ToT=omiai] [egg=omiai] [tp=omiai]
is your body accustomed to the caffeine or do you still get burst of energies when you drink it? And do you go through withdrawals if you don't drink coffee? :o I've never felt anything from coffee for some reason, no matter how strong or how much I drink. So simple saying "gonna stay up all night drinking coffee and writing a paper" doesn't work for me :/ nor has it ever made me feel more awake in the morning
Oh gosh studying a language you don't like for 7 years XC how painful! they should have more options! :p
I can attest that has a lovely accent. ^.^ I wish I had a nice accent but I guess I should just be glad I don't have the Bostonian can't-pronounce-the-letter-R accent. XD She drinks way more coffee than me, I just have two or three regular cups a day. I used to drink a lot more but I cut back.
Ok, it's official, I'm old. XD I got up at 6am after laying awake for a while, went grocery shopping, folded laundry, baked pumpkin bread, made butternut squash soup from scratch then cleaned up. I was showered, in my pjs and done for the day by 3pm. LOL
nope, no bursts of energy for me. really i don't drink it for the energy... well i kind of do... i keep hoping if i drink enough of the stuff, it will wake me up. more likely it will just make my heart explode one day. i've even started taking caffeine tablets too out of desperation. they seem to give me a little bit of a kick. i think i also like really strong tasting coffee because if it tastes strong enough the shock of the taste can sometimes give me a bit of a kick more than the actual caffeine :P
i happen to really like your accent. much more pleasant than a lot of other accents, including/especially the boston one! (sorry to any bostonites out there... is that a word?)
see i get up at 1 or 2, eat, walk the dog, do my stuff online and i'm ready for bed by 5pm...you get way more out of the day than me XD
[ToT=omiai] [egg=omiai] [tp=omiai]
yeah I don't get people who feel kicks from coffee O.o girl you crazy for caffeine! haha ^__^
Hows is Boston? Do you like living there? :) and woow! Your day was way more productive than my weekend thus far haha
