They would have to log in to your Subeta account, on your computer, on your browser. The information displayed there is from a cookie that braintree sets, not something that we (Subeta) have access to, or something anyone accessing your account has access to. If you want an example of this, log in to your account in incognito mode and it won't be there.

Braintree doesn't require the CVC because it's the largest payment processor on the internet and is immediately aware if a card has been stolen, because they know when each card is used around the internet.

There is a lot of security here, I wouldn't feel unsafe using your card with braintree (Which is owned by paypal), which is why we've chosen them to process payments going forward :)!

And, again, this isn't insecure. It saves the information to your computer for ease of purchase in the future, and if you clear your sessions/cookies/temporary information it won't be there anymore :)

But... it doesn&;t display your credit card numbers and stuff, right? Like the full number and expiration date and address and all of that info someone would need to actually steal the info and use it somewhere else?

So the only real &;security&; concern here is the possibility that someone could get into your Subeta account and buy CSC, on your account, from the same browser you used to buy the CSC. This theoretical CSC thief would have to know about Subeta to be interested in buying virtual currency here, otherwise how would it even occur to them? That means it&;s someone close to you and they either know your Subeta password, which means you left that info vulnerable (not smart) or you are in public and playing Subeta, and a stranger who happens to play sees you, and you walk away and leave your computer unattended (not smart).

So basically like any secure website - be smart about it and you&;ll be fine.

Also, I could see the button before I decided to try this Braintree method, now I can&;t see anything else but the option to use Braintree.

That's because PayPal is part of Braintree. When you click "Change Payment Method," if you add one you get the option to add a PayPal account.

This is all mostly moot now anyway because you can just remove your saved payment methods and Keith changed it to ask for the CVV the same day you made this topic. So, honestly, I'm not even sure why you're continuing to make such a fuss. Your concerns were heard and they were addressed, yet you're acting like nothing has been done.

Airbnb uses Braintree. Uber uses Braintree. I promise you that Braintree is perfectly secure.

Besides, if a thief steals your computer, I guarantee you buying CSC on your Subeta account is going to be their absolute lowest priority. Odds are the thief doesn't even know Subeta exists. Beyond that, spending your money to buy CSC doesn't benefit them in any way. If they're able to get access to anything, they're going to spend your money on actual tangible things that they can then sell for money.
